To each his own. And to let you know, I have had trouble enjoying the cannabis experience also.

But cannabis is a psychedelic and opiates/opioids are not. The cannabis experience is about so much more than just a great high. Sounds like you don't like changes in mental perception yet. There are a whole slew of drugs, including cannabis, that change your mind.

You have to do some work to enjoy cannabis.

pot is crazy, you gotta get used to it, most people smoke a few hits of a joint their first time, just ease into it and understand how it will affect you, and you will end up loving it :S5:
