My cookie experience - Should I give up
I am male, in my thirties and weigh about 170lbs.
I am an inexperienced marijuana user. I have smoked only 4-5 times.
The last time I smoked, I was in Jamaica. I did get stoned and the experience was kinda OK. I did not like loss of control that I felt while being couch-locked but I wasn't that scared either.
The other day I tried a quarter of a hash-cookie. Here is my experience:
I had eaten 1/8th of the cookie the day before and nothing had happened that time. So, this day I ate 1/4th of a cookie.
After 2 hours: Nothing happened for about 2 hours. I was about to give up when suddenly I started feeling dizzy. It felt like my skull had become hollow like an empty tin container. Sounds coming from the TV would ring and resonate inside my head. I also started to get mild head-spinning feelings.
After 2:30 hours: I continued to feel dizzy and so I laid down. My heart stated beating really fast and my body became very warm. I continued watching TV and it felt like for every scene I watched on the TV , I could remember another scene similar to that scene from somewhere else.
After 3 hours: The feelings kept deteriorating. I had started feeling more helpless. My arms felt like they were made of water. And, from time to time my legs or arms would twitch. This was really scary. I should also mention I felt different based depending on what I actually thought. If I started thinking that the cookie was bad, I started panicking. I started thinking I was going to die and should call the hospital. Surprisingly, if I told myself that this was just a temporary effect, I felt better.
After 4 hours: In the end, I just lay in bed praying for the whole thing to be over soon. I also ate a big meal of eggs, toast and fried potatoes. This really helped. Then I somehow went to sleep and felt much refreshed after waking up after 8 hours.
The bottom line is I did not find the expereince very pleasant. It was downright scary. I dont think I would be eating the hash cookies again.
So, my question is - was my trip / experience normal?
People seem to enjoy this so much but I did not enjoy it at all.
I have taken opiods a few times and have experienced care-free happiness and euphoria from taking them. I can't seem to get the same feelings from using pot.cpeafun Reviewed by cpeafun on . Just a panic attack. Next time only take a hit or two instead of hash cookies.if your heart starts racing again ,don't watch TV ! Do something to get your mind and body off it ,go for a drive, exercise, read a book, whatever you like to do.Sounds like it was a good hash cookie !

I think you got mental OD.
Thats nothing man. Take it easy. The "trip" was scary because you were
thinking too much. Stop thinking and lay back.
Or you can sit down alone in you room and listen to some chill out music
and think about your being.
My most best experience was when smoke a joint of Northern light's and went
to my room and put the dark side of the moon cd on and then i went
to my bed and layed down..
Man i was tripping balls and i felt great.
But if you think that, "this is bad" and "im not okay", etc.
Then you will miss the thing in the holy herb.
Just relax i say.
Peace

It could be that your opioid experience could have spoiled the euphoria of pot for you.
Futhermore, it doesn't seem like you enjoyed the psychedelic aspects. Since you didn't even get a taste of the good parts, it sounds like a defeating experience. You didn't get any laughing fits, permasmiles, or relaxation.
But that body warmth, that was good right?

I guess he's right, I'm just figuring that you're an experienced driver that has maintaned and dealt with years worth of city and highway driving. By all means ,if it's not safe don't do it. Just do anything thats SAFE to get your mind off it..
ganjah I dont think that your post was necessary..real logical bro.

My cookie experience - Should I give up
Remember how you felt when a hot-looking girl fell in love with you.. or when you got a promotion, aced a test or won the big game? Or, try to imagine how you would feel if you won a huge amount of money at the casino or in the lottery. Or, imagine winning American Idol.
A tablet of two of opiods like Hydrocodone or Oxycodone gives you that same happy feeling for half a day. You feel really joyful. You feel like going out and celebrating life with a bunch of friends. No matter how hard you try, you cant think of any negative thoughts. That's what opiods do to you. You are happy while being very much *a part of reality*.
Pot, on the other hand, takes you away from reality. It paralyzes the body and plays tricks with your mind. So, you dont really feel happy. You just feel.. well.. stoned.
I dont know. May be I am wrong about cannabis. But, from my limited experience, I like the opiod high much better. Of course, opiods come with a huge danger of developing tolerance and addiction in you. And, therefore, one shouldn't do them much either.
Guess, there is no easy answer.
