;) There is a huge diff between spanking your child and beating them, yes I beleive that sometimes a spanking is what is needed but there are other options that shud be tried frist. Some parents go way over board and end up beating the shit outta their kids which is something I cannot and will not tolerate..... :confused:

I think if used for the right things, spanking could be effective. My parents brought me up being spanked. If I fucked up, I got my ass beat, plain and simple. But I remember on numberous occasions I could read my dads name bruised on my skin from mid back down to me knees.
I absofukenlutely hate when I see parents screamimg and dragging little kids by the arm... it takes all I have to not floor them!!!

I think theres more effective ways of punishing children. But if spanking works, then go for it. However, some kids won't let physical punishment stop them from getting into trouble...
generally, i think everythying should be done verbally... like instead of swatting your child for doing something you don't want them to do, you give a firm NO... works for me anyways....
however, in extreme circumstances, sometimes it's needed.... but only in extreme circumstances... i'd say when every other 'punishment' has failed or they refuse it (say you sit them on the couch and they have to stay there but they get off anyways) sometimes i guess you need to show your child there are worse punishments then the first ones you hand down.
I'd rather spank my kids asses when their young than to have a 350 pound dude spanking them behind bars when their grown.

The reason I ask is because when I was younger I was spanked maybe 5 times total. I think it would have been better if my parents had spanked me a little more than that.
