Hey Brook, actually with that light, if you can get it with in a ft, or 12 inches of the plants they will explode with growth. This is only if you can control the heat though.

right bear, i was thinking he had ballast and lamp above the plants and was only running a fan 15 mins an hour. my bad, howie. you had said temps were at 85f. by the way, what kind of light ARE you using, howie? i try to keep my temps at or around 73 degrees.
sorry howie, sorry bear.
love, brooke
Hey brooke, I use a 600watt HPS. And currently its about 2 feet above the plants. The fan runs at 45 mins ON 15 minutes OFF. Do you think I should have it running contstantly? Its spring here in Oz atm, so nice warm weather during the days, but gets very cold at night, and if I run the fan all night it gets down to like 62-65F. To cold thats why I leave the fan off for a while so the temperature gets a bit warmer.
Your plant will still thrive with in the 60's, and 85 is a little high, it's pushing it, low 70's would be kind of ideal for a good medium. I would maybe run the lights at night to balance out the heat/cold issue and see what you can do.
Not a problem Brook, always nice to run across you on another thread. Keep making us smile.

in my opinion, you should leave the fan on 24 hour a day. this will strengthen stems, and provide constant air circulation. good things. yep, leave the fan on all the time.
love brooke
i always wanted someone to see someone grow weed in their shower.. Howie your from Aus right? good luck with the grow
62-65 degrees is just fine, your plants will love it. only reason my temps aren't at 65 is because they leveled at 73 and stayed there, so that was good enough for me.Quote:

ps, plants will sustain temps as low as 40f at night without probs (outdoor growing exp). as a matter of fact, if you want your plants to change color at the end of flowering, lower temps to 50-55 degrees f. they'll get all perdy and red/purple/blue/pink. realy cool!

how's the shower coming, howie??
