Shower turned Growroom!!

Hey all, I have setup my shower vanity (just a standard sized shower) into a growroom. I have insulated with aluminium foil, the covered again with PVC foil with the White side out. I have covered the top with a type of "lid" like apperatus, so as to keep the temperature maintained at a constant 25-28 celcius (80-85F)
I have three 20 litre pots, filled with coco-peat organic, and are using the THC A and B Nutrients. Over the 3 plants I have 600watt HPS, With a 600w hps Ballast running at 18 on, 6 off. Also Have occilating fan at intervals of 15 minutes OFF.. 45 minutes ON while the lights are on and 15 minutes ON and 45 minutes OFF when lights are off. I also have a Mistral Extractor fan running every so often to freshen the air. What Im wondering though is whether this shower vanity will be big enough to grow all three plants?? The heights not a problem, but isnt it bad for plants to touch each other when they become bigger??

Her are some pics each one was taken every 2 days over the past 9 days.. I will add more as they get older Im just wondering whether once they get to a good size, will the become to cramped?

Can anybody suggest whether the shower will be big enough to get big buds from 3 plants? This is my first time grow

how big is your shower, and no, plants touching each other won't be hurt by it. if they are too close together, they won't get enough light, and will become stretched and stringy. if that is a bathtub sized shower, you're good to go.

Thanks Brooke. What you see in the pic is as far apart as I can get the pots. So basically the shower is as wide as 2 x 20 litre pots lol. So they will touch when they are bigger. Its just a shower Vanity, not a bathtub shower. Still good to go do you think?

for only those three, yes. i say go for it. it's gonna be a little tight, just keep moving leave around when the get bigger. that way all different areas will get light and no one area starves for it. and you may end up having to drop a daylight cfl down in between them for good measure. i beleive daylight bulbs are cool to the touch, so no burn risk as with the warm cfl's.

i think you'll do fine, as long a you flower when they are almost touching.

hey i just got an idea. go to a hard ware store and get some wire shelving. run one behind each pot, and just weave them in as they grow!

Thanks Brooke, Il give it a go and let you know how im doing. Good idea about the wire shelving too.. I have another idea for putting it another place in my bathroom where i would be able to space them out more. Whats the perfect distance between pots with a 600w HPS? Any suggestions from other people would be appreciated too

dont use aluminium foil! it focuses light into hot spots and cant roast your plants! i use white printer paper or white gloss paint, NEVER USE FOIL...! thats the no.1 rule, people confuse MYLAR with foil, dont worry, its a mistake thats easily made, just rip down that foil asap,

p.s. I like the shower idea, i would probably only use it for seedlings and adolescent plants, then move adults somewhere more airy

Thanks mate. Ive only used al foil on the cold tiles, then I have covered that with that stuff thats black on one side and white on the other. (ive forgotten what its called) I got it from the grow shop, so i guess its ok. The white reflects the light great. Any suggestions from anybody on what i should use on the shower FLOOR?? At the moment all i have is like thick sponge, worked great at first, but the weight of the pots has flatted it and im worried that they wont be breathing through the bottom holes or could even get mould into the dirt? Any suggestions from anybody would be fantastic

justs put plates under the pots, and put directly on the shower floor. shower is white, right? your light should be about 2 1/2 feet away from the plants. if you have heat probs at that distance, raise the light. also, with hid's a nonstop fan is a must!

ps, don't worry about the foil as you have it covered up. no danger there, just extra insulation
