What do you say to a new dealer?
Just be like "what up" and if he replies just say "My friend, 'name' said you had some good chronic, I was wondering if you could hook me up." Something like that, if the guy knows your friend by name and you sound calm enough you might be all in :).
What do you say to a new dealer?
Whenever I used to talk to dealers (thankfully I won't be needing to do that for a long time now), if it was a first time, I'd introduce myself, then tell them who I got their number from. Then, for both new and regular dealers, I'd ask if they were busy, if they said no, I'd ask if I "could swing by for a second and pick something up." Just don't say weed or any slang for it. If you keep it very vague and general when you call, the dealer will know what you want, but on the (very) off chance that his phone is bugged, it will be much harder for the cops to pin anything on anyone.

lmao @ phones being bugged from "big time dealers" ... lolol
fellas.
Theres a couple ways.
heres some basic shit --
When your buddy who gave you the number goes and picks up from him again, go with him (after asking the dealer if its ok to bring your boy / alleviating concearns he may have) and just strike up a small conversation with him when you go there. introduce yourself. ask to take down his number for the future if he seems cool with you. he'll know whats up. when you call him, remind him about meeting him. don't come right out with it over the phone, see how he is about it. some dealers are really uneasy over the phone, some aren't. makes no difference. just react accordingly. if you're going to call him, have your buy that gave you his number call him first to tell him you're going to call, and make sure its ok. this way, everyone is on the same page. your buddy will vouch for you, and thats how you meet dealers through other people, in the way you explained, by having someone vouch for you. ps- he is not "big time" ... haha. getting in with a "big time" ... or lower / mid level dealer who supplies the dealers is a little tougher if they already have plenty of business. its a different art, lol. ask me if u ever need help with it, lol. ive done my share =] just basically be real, upfront, and cool with them, and you'll be fine. don't try to be something you're not.

and don't be surprised or take it personal if s/he hangs up on you. i never heard of anyone doing biz with a stranger and a phone call..."hey dude, you don't know me but joe sent me...no worries, i'm cool"
just sounds way too sketchy to actually work in real life. and most likely 'joe' would be shut off too for being so stupid to pass out private info like that...but maybe things have changed, i dunno...

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys. My friend will probably be calling this guy soon for his first deal from the guy. I'll be sure to tell him what you guys told me. Than I might even make a deal myself if the guy comes through!
What do you say to a new dealer?
I always say "a mutual freind said we may be able to help each other".

dont worry, hes not that big time.... the big time guys are the guys who dont handle anything... they just get paid.
everyone else is just part of the ladder... the higher up on the ladder you are, the cheaper prices and better nug your gonna get.
Not saying you cant start at the top or you have to start at the bottom, but thats just the way it is...
your most likely not dealing with a big timer unless your buying lbs.
