I did World Oyama Karate for a few years and fought a few knockdown tourney's (winning the last) and then moved onto reality/street defense (only school in our state that does this). We train to fight all ranges- from projectiles, to striking, to grappling including weapons. We have a submission fighting tournament coming up that I was supposed to be competing in but fell down a ladder at work last week and got injured.
I spend a lot of my time outside of work training and at the gym lifting weights and along with a few other toking buddies, am in an instructor's training program, all with hopes of running/owning our own school.
:D
well its pretty clear that im not that well-versed in martial arts, but i still love them and the whole art of fighting, which is something ive taught myself gradually so that now i have my own style (not saying im some kickass uber-warrior or anything, but i can hold my own) and i love fighting as many people as i can (in sport) to learn about them and their personal styles. idk i just think you can read a lot about a person in the way they fight
I practice for MMA, but haven't in the last 4 months... my lower back kills me sometimes.
I also invented my own style, hilariously named "blunted fist".
I started Tea Kwon Do last spring, but had to stop for the last month cuz of football season. Im starting back up though when im done with football. Ima Yellow Belt.
