The world is indeed a messed up, and often awful place. But once you recognize and understand this, you can stop letting the flow of external society be the driving force of your life, and find your own identity and even one-person culture.

where have you been , the worlds always been a bad place , something negitive is alwys happing.

i think once in the 1920's for about ten minutes there wasnt any wars at all going on around the world. my point it always has and and always will be this way. fuck the news, dont watch it

The solution is not to not watch the news, but vary your watching of the news. When I get home, I watch a FOX local broadcast, a CBS national broadcast, and then a NBC local broadcast. This is supplemented by reading the paper, reading sites like MSNBC, BBC, CNN, and listening to broadcasts from sources like NPR or on shortwave radio.

The objective is to get unfiltered news on the things that matter.

Ive realized this, so i decided that my only friend is my bud and my pipe ...everyone else is a enemy.

i try to be cool with people, but it seems everyone is shady to everyone.

We had a thing going on a while ago with the local, city news. On the news, it is nothing but bad news, so for one day a week, this news station decided to report nothing but positive news.

To say the least, it all lasted 2 weeks, 2 whole good news session, and they stopped, due to bad ratings.

I don't watch the news or read the paper anymore. It's too negative and sad. Everyday someone gets stabbed here, or someone gets raped, car crashes like crazy...nothing good!
