yea, or u can make ur own... i've made a few...
I have the Vapor Bros. vaporizer ... my neighbor didn't like it, and gave it to me ... I had to buy a new whip for it, his was broken (they are a bit delicate, be careful) ...
at first, I didn't care for it, bit of a hassle, but after I got the knack, found my correct heat setting, I really do like it ... I quit smoking years ago, and don't like the sore throat, etc, from joints ... the vaporizer is the answer ..
BONUS !!! ... I know this sounds too good to be true, but I'm being straight with ya ... after vaporizing, the 'fluff' that is left behind, is saved, rolled into joints, and gives the same high as was obtained with the vaporizer ... ??? ... I smoke my stash twice ... I (and friends that tried a taste with me) couldn't tell much, if any, difference in the joint of used weed, versus the original in the vaporizer ... very cool ... :smokin:
Yeah, I liked the Vapobrothers model but was a little concerned with the alum. heating element. Did a little more research and found the Vaporwarez models. They were the first one's to make the Vaporbrothers vape's but broke off and started there own company. There practically identical except they have a ceramic element. So I looked on e-bay and found one for 95 bucks. About 15 shipping. I made the mistake of not checking the guys feedback and got a e-mail after I did a "Buy It Now" from a guy who was ripped off by this bum seller. NEEDLESS to say I am out over a hundred bucks and no vape:mad:I have filed a complant with paypal but I AM screwed. If I get any of the money back I will try again!
has anyone here used the vapir one?
The flame never reaches the herb thus does not burn it. Breathing hot smoke is what f's up your lungs. Vaporizing heats it slowly like a crock pot for pot and thus only provides white cool smoke which is actually good for the lungs.Quote:

Could someone please tell me what exactly a vaporizor does, how it works, and the advantages of having one? I am interested in having one for my new place next year.
it heats up the herb rather than burning it, thereby releasing the helpful chemicals but not bringing them to a combustion temperature. Basically, it's just a whole lot better on your lungs.
Does it conserve weed by making a smaller amount get you higher or anything like that?
read the image reaper's post above. Or here:

Vaporizers certainly relieve your lungs from the smoke, and reduce the non-THC toxins. It's much easier on my throat. I've lost the naggin cough.
That said, the vaporizer still can dry your throat out. It still irritates my mucous membrans and leaves a taste in my mouth. I will occaisionally put a few drops of water in the cup to increase the humidity of the vapor. Somewhere in the documentation that came with my Vapir they mention adding oils or ground coffee beans to enhance the taste and make the vapor more soothing.
I've played with the temp settings to mellow the taste. The bad thing about the vaporizer is that I miss the great taste of really good dank buds.
As for the cheap glass bulb vaps....they don't compare. You cannot control the temperature of the air. The temp rises uncontrollably and at some point stops vaporizing just the THC and starts including all the bad stuff that is in there. Remember, in addition to the THC that we seek, there are literally hundreds of other components in the weed, some of which are bad for you.
The Volcano and digital Vapir super heat the air to a set temp and pass it across the herb. When adjusted properly, that temp maximizes the vaporization of the THC and not the stronger carcinogens, etc.
What I do now is smoke the really good stuff (when I have it) and vaporize the mids.
