Later that spring, the Clinton Justice Department prepared an indictment of Osama bin Laden. The relevant passage, prominently placed in the fourth paragraph, reads:
Al Qaeda reached an understanding with the government of Iraq that al Qaeda would not work against that government and that on particular projects, specifically including weapons development, al Qaeda would work cooperatively with the government of Iraq.

How in the hell can people state that the Bush administration fabricated stories when the "same stories" were being told by the Clinton administration. I guess G.W. should have done the same as Bill....just ignore the situation and have an affair! :thumbsup:

And yet it wasn't until good ol' GW Bush came around that we actually went to war. Bush wanted to go to war with Iraq, plain and simple. Whether it was to finsih what Daddy started, revenge for the attempt on Daddy's life, or just to boost his fucking ego, he wanted war. He didn't care how he got it. What bothers me most is that going to war, and sending young American to die, should be the absolute last thing a President ever wants to happen during his Presidency. Bush not only wanted it, he did everything possible to make sure it happened. Absolutely shameful.
