Cheney says war critics 'dishonest, reprehensible'
Cheney called Democrats "opportunists" who were peddling "cynical and pernicious falsehoods" to gain political advantage while U.S. soldiers died in Iraq.
The comments were the latest salvo in an aggressive White House counterattack on war critics, launched as Democrats step up their criticism of the war and polls show declining public support for the conflict.

Cheney says war critics 'dishonest, reprehensible'
American soldiers and Marines are out there every day in dangerous conditions and desert temperatures -- conducting raids, training Iraqi forces, countering attacks, seizing weapons, and capturing killers -- and back home a few opportunists are suggesting they were sent into battle for a lie," Cheney said.
Well this whole war was based on lies but wait there's more quite lies and he think's that it's ok to waste lifes for what course hey...... yeah so they wouldn't be over there if both you and your so called buddies had put them there for there own purposes just bring them home for christ bloody sake it's not worth lifes from both sides. And anyone that agrees with this you go over there and fight for this so called war and come back and tell us how it goes and whether it is a good cause or not. :smokin:

Okay, Dick.
So how about we take all the intelligence and evidence and have a big discussion debate on the issue, so we can get to the bottom of this and prove the critics wrong?
Dick: um..er-well... i simply have too much to do...our freedom depends on it!

Avoidence of the issue? Fact is many of the Dems thought the war was justified before the changed their minds. Clinton said that Sadamm was trying to get WMDs during his administration....his ol' lady backed him up during Bush's administration with some of her great speaches. Fact is, Cheney is just calling them for what they are.

Well were at #2082 dead soldiers, but its alright it was the democrats that lied us into war! George Orwell says Ignorance is Strength, Freedom is Slavery, War is Peace.. Classic doublespeak, doublethink, newspeak.

I don't think its right to criticize the dems, or most of the republicans, who supported the war in the beginning. They were basing their support on lies told to them by the Bush administration. I'm not naive, I know all politicians are dishonest by definition. When it comes to going to war, however, we, including our elected representatives, should be able to trust that our President has a damn good reason and is telling the truth about it. The reality is that getting Saddam Hussein got GW's dick hard so he lied to get what he wanted. Pity that so many have died when a viagra prescription would have done the same thing.

Cheney succeeds in lying the country into war, but the democrats get blame for it.

Cheney says war critics 'dishonest, reprehensible'
On Jan. 5, 2004, Nizar Nayouf, a Syrian journalist who recently defected to France, said in a letter to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf that chemical and biological weapons were smuggled from Iraq into Syria before the war began, when Saddam realized he would be attacked by the U.S. Nayouf claimed to know three sites where Iraq's WMDs are kept: in tunnels under the town of al-Baida in northern Syria, part of an underground factory built by North Korea for producing a Syrian version of the Scud missile; in the village of Tal Snan, adjacent to a Syrian Air Force base; and in Sjinsjar, on the border with Lebanon.
Speaking to the British television station ITN on Jan. 9, Nayouf quoted a Syrian military intelligence official as confirming the three sites.
