letting your parents know

If you know they're going to disapprove of it, you'll just regret telling them. Keep it a secret if you think you can reasonably get away with it. Not everyone gets caught; you only get caught when you're not careful enough (trust me, I've been there). Do everything you think is necessary to ensure that you don't get caught. Smoke outside, smoke at night, smoke through a spoof, smoke out the window, whatever. Just don't smoke when there's any possibility whatsoever of your parents finding out that you're smoking, and make sure you don't act obviously stoned around them afterwards, and you should be okay.

Well, let's see-- would your parents rather have you tripping out on hydrocodone for your back, or smokin weed for your back? If they have a brain between them, they'll choose the herb. Be careful, though--since weed is illegal, it has a bad reputation, especially to authority figures.

If they're worried about your health, get a vaporizer or eat it. At that point, they'd have to be complete slaves to propaganda to think that prescription opiates are a better idea.

hey ermitonto, i thought you lived in buffalo. did you move? anyways, i think your best bet is ( if your parents are not assholes) tell them you started smoking pot and you will not let it shrew up whatever you have going now. Just don't smoke in the house or act like smoking pot is not a big deal.

Yeah, I came way up here near Canada but it's just until the fall semester begins.

say you heard from a friend with a similar problem that it helps with the pain and explain about the painkillers, and say you already have friends who do it so could try easily. you never know, they might even give you money for it!

They might also demand to know who these friends are so they can call their parents.

I told the parents when I was 14, only been positive results for me.

my dad doesnt care(he does it too), but my mom was pretty upset. i was able to get away with it for so long until recently she started getting very suspicious. shit went down this last weekend, and she finally knows for sure. and we neevr even fought about that either. she doesnt like it, but she isnt trying to make me quit either.

my parents kept telling me to stop smoking so i said "ok" and never have, and also, they obviously know i smoke it cuz of them telling me to stop, and smelling it, and finding my pipe. The funny thing is, about 3 or 4 times now they've said to me "now tell me truthfully and look me in the eyes, do you smoke marijuana?" and every time I just said "no!" and once said "of course not, i wouldn't dream of it!" (i was pretty blazed lol) and after i kept saying i didn't smoke it they just walked off looking disappointed that they have nothing on me, so it kinda worked out, now i just smoke whenever and don't even think about getting caught

heres the deal with me, never been officially busted, but when i first started, like 2 weeks after my first blaze i found my dads stash, and took a little bit. the next time i went to take some, a couple days later, there was a note that said

he never said anything to me, and i never said anything to him, but now he knows i do it and i know he does it. its a little weird sometimes, like on saturday, i came home, tottally baked, and he came up from the basement, tottally baked, and we tallked about star wars for like 2 hours. it was hilarious
