letting your parents know

i smoke weed for fun and because it helps out my back. i have problems with compression in my back and when i smoke, it releases sum of the compression and helps my back loosen up. its the only thing that works besides taking pain killer which the doctor prescribed me but i dont wanna be hooked on those for the rest of my life. i'm only 15! now my problem is that my parents dont know i smoke.

my question how can i tell them that i smoke and not get in a lot of trouble. i know they would still be mad even if i told them it was fo my back. they would just think thats an excuse. or should i just not even tell them at all?

i've learned one thing already, everyone gets caught at sum point. everyone!

Well they'd like it much better if you told them than if they had to catch you. And in the worst case scenario, they absolutely disapprove and tell you to stop immediately--in which case you just go back to doing it in secret.

not EVERYONE, i have some friends that have been smoking for 3 years without their parents suspecting at all...if ui know they will get mad dont tell em...just be as cautious as possible...ull prolly get caught tho lol

Yeah if you really dont wanna get caught just act like you did when you first started smoking in your home. I remember what I used to do--sneak around so quiet I couldn't even hear myself (sometimes I took my shirt off cause I thought they'd hear the rustling, haha) and use a page from the phone book to roll a bone cause I was so paranoid about keeping papers in the house. Then I'd go down to the basement with a walkie talkie by the stairs so I could hear if they were coming, I'd smoke it as fast as possible, waste about a half hour of my high being paranoid..... those were the days.

Yeah parents will usually find out if your smoking. I wouldnt know what to tell you,but if you feel you need to tell,then do so..anyways happy smoking

Try to keep it a secret, but if it comes down to it, its better if you tell them than getting arrested for it or having them find it in your pocket when putting your cloths in the wash.

Although quite impossible for my situation ATM, your best bet would be to sit down with your mom or whoever, and tell her exactly how you feel. tell her you'd rather have her know up front that your doing it, instead of hiding it and sneaking around doing it behind her back. Mothers love to hear that shit. Also, convince them doing it in your room away from police will keep you out of trouble, and that having to sneak around means more of a chance being caught.

I wouldn't tell them. Just say no to drama. hahah I smoked w/o my parents knowing for 4.5 years before I moved out. They didn't find out untill I was in half way through my seinor year in college.

Your pretty young, they might get pissed, but if you ever get caught bust out the back pain shit, and hopefully they'll be understanding. You sound like a canidate for Medical MJ when your 18.

When i was caught 1st time, (cuz my dad said my room smelled like smoked) they didn't do much and just kept sayin shit like "why does it smell like smoke in here?" and i had to keep comin up with lame excuses like "I burnt sum paper cuz my friend said the flame went green" (or something like that).
Then eventually my mum and dad came bustin into my room 1 sunday morning and woke me up and accused me of smoking and said i didn't look "all there". But nevermind, and then my dad found my pipe in my cupboard (searching through ) and came back in my room later demanding i give him my pipe, but i said no and hid it under my bed (I was planning on sneaking out of my window in the middle of the night and throwing it somewhere, so he couldn't get it off me) and it cost £8 so i thought "fuck that idea" and kept it and just kept refusing to give it to him

Then up until about 2/3 months ago i would just get the odd "your room smells like something has been burning again". so i just ignored the remarks and carried on smokin', but this time in my downstairs toilet (bathroom for US ) and it's only like 5x3ft with a toilet, sink and extraction fan, so i just do it in there now, and i know my room smells like weed (as even i can smell it, but luckily my mum is ill so she can't smell anything ) and they haven't mentioned it since....... The End

So in conclusion i would say, don't tell them in case you get in trouble about it, and what they don't know doesn't hurt 'em (or something along those lines)
