Synthetic VS Real
Burnt Toast,
In My original post I was referencing two different test, my pre employment test was at an actual clinic where I was administered a split sample GC/MS, this is the clinic where some people supposably were caught cheating, however I think they may have just made some error on their part and walked out of the lab, thus getting a refusal to submit Fail. I passed using Magnum synthetic there no prob.
My employer does their monthly randoms in a public bathroom style stall which would be monitored, not observed per their drug policy. Tests are administered by non medical staff ie. the security staff by SAMHSA guidelines, I assume they got their 1 hour training video or whatever to be legit. Per the drug policy if there is suspicion of tampering/adulteration/substitution a second sample will be taken under direct observation, if an employee fails to provide a sample within 3 hours that employee will be considered refusal to submit and will face immediate termination.
From all the info I have gotten from co-workers you basically get called to the supervisors office, he's like "were going for a little ride..." and takes you straight to security so there's no real notice, it just gets done some time in the first two weeks of each month. They use some third party to randomly select 10% of the employees to be tested
As far as I'm concerned, I'm as prepared as I can be and have no further questions, I appreciate the responses :)

Oh and it's an instant type test so assuming emit/immunoassay all non negatives are confirmed by GC/MS and you get a little "vacation" until the confirmation comes back lol

Sounds like working in a prison.lol
Sounds like the whisskit with synthetic is about all you can do in your case. Sounds like you've got it pretty well planned out.
For me I would just quit the job and go find a better place to work. I've done that numerous times but I've always been debt free so its easy for me to do.
You've done a lot of research and thats good. Be sure and read up on the proper protocols that employers are required to use so that if they violate them you have an arguement to fight back with. They can not fire you if you can't pee after 3 hours unless you've signed a contract that stipulates that exact thing. If you can't pee after 3 hours they will just reschedule you. Use to do that occasionally years ago before I decided to learn how to play the game better.

Yeah :) its not totally lame though, there are provisions in the regs in support of the employees but Alaska is a "right to work" state and they can terminate you at will without a reason and I signed a statement I read understood and will fallow their policies, but it pays great, excellent Benifits and quarterly bonuses so I'm just trying to cover myself as best I can, I could always get a state job, they don't UA those bastards lol
