Who's arguing? I'm simply stating facts. And yes, lots of government spending can be cut!!! Let's just start with our military. Imagine how much money wouldn't be spent if the gov decided to pull out of 3 wars we are involved in. The war on drugs is a failure, billions if dollars in savings there, if and when they stop the non sense. And these are just a few of the areas where tax dollars can go to better use. High speed rail is another dumbass idea.... Politicians can even take a pay cut. Do they REALLY NEED $14k a month????
Don't make excuses cause you voted for the guy. I know he isn't the one to really blame, seeing as he is only a puppet doing the dirty work for his cronies....

My favorite is the argument to cut foreign aid, as though this would solve anything. First off, foreign aid is less than one percent of our annual budget. You could cut the whole thing and it wouldn't even register! More importantly, more than 30% of our foreign aid budget goes to Israel. Note this does not include the more than 3 billion in annual military aid. Try to cut foreign aid and see how long you last in Congress.
