Increase humidity

Hey Vance, that's the funny thing with humidity: Cold air holds more moisture than warm so the same amount of water vapor that makes it 40% in 75 degree weather would read like 30% at 60...That's not entirely accurate on the numbers but you know what I mean, the cold air is denser so there's more air now in the same space with the same amount of water...

Question for you. Any insight you have growing auto flower plants? My 2nd grow is going to be with all auto's plants (ak 47's), need to do this for turn around time issues. Any experience/unique issue you know of would be great to hear. :)

AK 47 is not an autoflowering strain unless it's been crossed with some ruderalis strain, which might give you an autoflowering plant with very little THC.

This makes me feel a lot better. I've been in that "what to do...what to do..." stage for a little while, the humidity in my room is 20%, 25% at most. Doesn't sound like much of a problem. Thank you!!!

No experience with the ruderalis genotypes. I stay away from them, I don't like the effect.

If the plants have enough moisture in the soil, the humidity only effects how much water the plants use to transpire. (Not seedlings) You may see higher water use with the lower humidity...depending on the temperature as this also is a way for the plant to regulate it's temperature a little bit. You may note like a rippling on the ridges on the leaf edges. This is the first indication of stress, and usually is due to too much water...or not able to transpire due to high humidity....

People forget easily that effecting one parameter will affect several others. Minor, minimal changes with at least 3 days to observe the effect of whatever the change may be.

I have grown in Colorado, in the high country, in the winter (westslope). I kept the plants in the boiler room, which happened to have quite a bit of extra room, which most folks would not have.

Again the only time I try to keep high humidity is the clone tray and the seedling tray, both of which are covered.

I currently have a grow and was trying to keep an EYE on my humidity. So i guess humidity is not that much a concern.

Thanks for the pic, yours look good and can't wait to get started on my next grow. I had read they are small and going to plant a lot of them and going to see how it goes. Going to go with 20/4 on lights and looks like 8 to 10 weeks in total time.

I have a friend that ran Low Life ak's and the only complaint I could mention was taste,,,Runderalis crosses will do that from what I have read but so could a lot of crosses. I still want to do a run of them outside and just grow like 20 of them to stock up for winter. For stealth reasons and for growing in northern climates I can see them coming in handy.
