Falling asleep may have been an indication that they were working, they always give me a strong case of couchlock. Nodding to sleep would be the next phase.
I put PB on the cracker, make a small bowl in the PB with the tip of a knife, place the pot in the bowl then put a few drops of cooking oil on the pot. now stir the oil and pot together, then mix that into the PB. This method has never failed me if I eat them on an empty stomach.
Good luck and let us know how your experiments go.
Remember it's is all in the name of scientific discovery.
Well first off you said you used Jiff PB...That's not recommended because it doesnt have enough sat. fat content compared to nutella or organic pb..if there isnt enough saturated fat, not enough THC will be asborbed...Also, if you made a lot of crackers, you should turn the oven settings up...
Hope i helped:thumbsup:
Hi, I've never had much luck with firecrackers. For a quick edible I like to buy a roll of cookie dough cut off about 3-4 inches off the roll and mix in finely ground bud about a gram. Spoon out the cookies on a cookie sheet. Bake it a little cooler then they recommend (275) for about 30 minutes and enjoy.
try the original......A Leary biscuit:thumbsup:
A Leary biscuit is a snack consisting of a cracker, cheese, and ground up marijuana bud. It is heated in a microwave oven and causes a cannabis "high" in the eater. The heating is said to activate the tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the active ingredient in cannabis. In actuality, the heating simply increases the solubility of the THC in the fats and oils in the cheese. The plant material of cannabis is not easily digested, and so the THC is not readily absorbed into the bloodstream unless it is first dissolved in some kind of fat, oil, or alcohol. This is why cheese is used for the Leary biscuit - cheese has a high fat content, suitable for dissolving THC and making it more readily available for digestion.
It is also a widespread myth that THC must be heated to "activate" it. However, heating a cannabis food/drink preparation actually makes it more potent. What actually happens is that additional THC is formed from the chemical breakdown of inactive carboxylic acid THC derivatives present in the cannabis. The carboxylic acid derivatives are inactive themselves, but when heated they readily lose their carboxylate group as carbon dioxide, and active THC is formed. In some instances, heating can actually double the active THC content of the original starting plant material .
THC and other cannabinoids are hydrophobic oils. They are insoluble in water but soluble in alcohols, fats, and other oils. As cannabinoids are insoluble in water alone, they suffer from low bioavailability when eaten. By dissolving the cannabinoids in alcohol, fats, or oils (such as the fat in butter and cheese), their ability to be absorbed by the body is increased. Heating the THC in the presence of fats or oils simply accelerates the process of dissolution in the fats, from some hours at room temperature to minutes in the microwave.
Timothy Leary was reportedly fond of these concoctions, especially in the later years of his life (allegedly because his physician asked him to quit smoking ) and thus they are named for him
thanks for all who responded. i'll definitely be trying the method with cooking oil. also the cookie dough idea just sparked my interest as well haha. And the leary biscuit? priceless! haha. hell, i should have a bake sale this weekend
firecrackers are awesome! the problem is that people make them on a whim, and don't have the right ingredients, at least thats what i did the first time. organic PB is a must, Jiff just does not work at all, i have had varying results with nutella, and gram cracker helps with the taste. also using a coffee grinder to turn the weed into a powder helps, and i like to blend that powder with the PB making a dark green paste, this aids absorption and taste. i do nuke it first for 15 seconds, and i bake at 318 degrees, for 22-30 minutes. i think some of my early failures were due to not cooking long enough. i make these from mids and enjoy them almost every weekend. they are quick, easy, and a no mess way to get blown out.
i finally got these working pretty well. jif, a spritz of vegetable oil, .5-.7g on saltines in the oven at 320 for 25 minutes works flawless. i'm sure it'd work a whole lot better if i mixed up the weed and pb, also using organic pb. maybe i'll try that out this week
