To strive to grow the most stress free plant is everyoneâ??s goal. A stress free environment is the perfect condition for this plant to grow in. So why not start out the seedling with the most stress free conditions and put the taproot down. Give it some quality light, watch the temperature, humidity and plenty of fresh air is a good stress free environment....right?

Throw in some nutrients, timeâ?¦..lots of patience and you get quality and quantity to enjoy.

Give a seed a chanceâ?¦.will ya? haha :D

if a lil stress is induced by it doing what it NATURALLY will do
so be it

i just think yaw try make it complicated when it aint
how can it stress it ?
you put it in compact soil and it will fight its way out i'd call that EXERCISE not stress
how is it stress,,,stress would be starved of water and nutes' or light or adverse temp changes and such,
stressed is not its natural act of growing a taproot,shooting a stem up to light
even if in soil that aint so great,some clay or crappy shit like that
stress free,i find that funny

im happy ya try to help folks with growing though i really am
but there is never just ONE way to do things
do it as you wish
but please consider the newbies may take your words as gold
when in fact they are lead wieghts pianted shiny,

Like I tried to say in polite terms....For quality and quantity you should start your grow with the lease amount of stress possible. Have YOU ever grown one plant that yields 1-2 pounds of dense heavy buds? I mean no offence but I have read your posts elsewhere. You grow like a gorilla grower. Just throw a bunch of seeds in the ground and call your self a grower. Just like some who make one cross and think they are breeders. When in fact they are nothing but pollen chucker. There are lots of way's to grow where you only get ½ -1 ounce for your full grow. Then there are others who can get a pound or better from the same plant. They just have a clue what to do un-like some. It's up to the individual as who they want to be or who to listen to. If you are happy with your 1/2-ounce per plant then have a nice day :) but if you want to grow a large harvest of quality buds then you should think a lot more about your technique. I would be happy to help you to learn but that is up to you. I have been growing for well over 20 years and been around the block more then once. When you can flower only 8 plants and harvest well over 12 pounds of quality herb on a regular basis then sir I would say you are correct. I guarantee that you are not achieving that level of harvest using your gorilla techniques I have heard you describe all over this site. Gorilla techniques may work for you and are so much less work but donâ??t try to pass your self off as anything more then just another gorilla grower. Do some research for yourself and you can only come to the conclusion that I and others here are correct.

Science and results trump bull shit every time. Dude do some research; I know it may not be as interesting as the funny pages but give it a try. Itâ??s worth it in the long run.

Howdy NWM,

You sound so much like my friend,who's been growing outdoors for years. He starts all of his seeds in an old wheelbarrow,filled with dirt from the garden out back. He makes a furrow with his finger and simply drops the seeds in a row,then covers them with dirt and waters them down. He doesn't try to sterilize the seeds,soak em in water or gently crack them open..to further help the 'baby' out. He has a high germination rate with no damping-off disease,or root rot. He swears up and down,that miracle grow fertilizer is the best,and that his biggest enemies are grasshoppers and critters. Like you,he believes that the strongest are meant to survive. It's a basic law of Nature..that the strong will survive.

It's hard to argue with his success..he breaks alot of the 'rules' and still,his plants thrive and yield mightily :D For the first time,I've helped him set up an indoor grow room,with a 1kwatt mh,and he loves it and is fascinated with the results so far. He says that the mh is making them shorter and stouter and bushier,than they would be outside and every so often,he's been misting them with Peter's 20-20-20,just because I told him that miracle grow was too harsh,and he's trying to give me the benefit of the doubt...lol.

Yea I too get annoyed with all the crap about germinating seeds and the how to do this and that.

ON Wednesday morning, i took some seeds and pressed them hard between thumb and finger. If they cracked, smashed or crumbled, in the trash they went.

I took the four biggest, fattest, highest tiger striped looking seeds I had.

Filled four small yogurt cups with miracle grow potting soil.

Stuck a pencil in the dirt to about 1/2 inch.

Dropped the seeds and let them fall as they would.Pointed up, pointed down...who the hell knows.

Saturday morning I have 3 little babies sitting here beginning their new life. I am sure the fourth will come.

The best germination starts with good seeds. But forget all the damp paper towel bullshit....forget the pointed in down . up. blah blah blah.

Just give the seeds some dirt, some dampness and some warmth.

Nature will take care of your seeds.

Man you are like every gorilla grower and pollen chucker I have ever known. Iâ??ll save my time on you because you will never understand or comprehend anything but what you do and how you do it. There is nothing to be accomplished by besting a fool.
