"The squeaky wheel gets the oil."
So squeak up, already! ;)
We have been living under a regime that has absolutely refused to listen to the will of the people. Now, we MAY have someone who will listen! I don't want this opportunity to fade away from lack of use!
Our younger members, those who have been robbed of their vote by unjust laws, and those who are in other countries- none of you got your say in this election! Well here's your chance to influence things!
Obama wants feedback? Well, let's give him a clear idea of what WE NEED changed! In a sense, Obama just gave everyone a "vote" in shaping US policy! :D
I think this is just SO COOL! And it takes, what, all of 10 minutes? Government BY the people! A revolutionary idea!

Not being American, I can't submit anything, but great work, you guys! I of course want to see any pot persecution end. Hell, it being in Schedule I is probably the most ridiculous thing ever, with the exception of any penalty ever being attached to such a safe and fantastic herb in the first place. I hope Anslinger's in hell.

The president-elect remains deeply indebted to Wall Street aristocrats, as evidenced by his enthusiastic support for the taxpayer-funded $750 billion bailout of the very same banksters who crashed the world economy with their $500 trillion pyramid scheme.
There'd be no better place to start and achieve immediate results than dismantling America's disastrous drug policies and the prison industrial complex along with it.
Submit your ideas to the transition team. Make it polite and constructive. Talk about reforming drug policy as a means toward revitalizing the economy, putting people back to work, restoring families, and building communities.

Bolivia accuses DEA of drug trafficking, bribery and murder
The winds of change are a blowin'. Before the Bankster Heist paying Wall St. ransom, Pete posted this list of D.E.A.th spots back on August 24, 2008, Now with the Busheney $11 trillion debt it is mind boggling how much infrastructure money is being flushed. Just the rent/mortgage and upkeep of this many buildings let alone the hundreds of salaries getting paid by our taxes. But that's only a part of it. All these countries politico's relying on US Military training and big bucks for covert coups, Kickback to the dictators and their Military, who moonlight as paramilitary intimidators and even drug lords. Now with the money crunch here, how will we bribe these puppets? If we don't give them guns will they still love us in the morning? It's dissolving right before their eyes. Moralas as a native, treats the coca plant sacramentally and thinks it is a good nutritional source for his people. And as a cash crop outside of the Pharmaceutical aspects. Weird how all these offices probably have better living conditions than 2 million American homeless.
J Pee Waldo's D.E.A.th Wish and Busheney's U.S.Al Qaeda!
Good Riddance!

Bolivian President Evo Morales Says US Government/DEA Encourage Drug Trafficking
Bolivian leader Evo Morales on Thursday accused the US government of encouraging drug-trafficking as he explained his decision to banish the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Morales, a staunch opponent of the Washington government, said the staff from the US agency had three months to prepare to leave the country, because "the DEA did not respect the police, or even the (Bolivian) armed forces."
Bolivian President Evo Morales Tells DEA to Leave His Country
Bolivian President Evo Morales said Saturday that he was suspending the work of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration in Bolivia and that the government will take control of its activities in the war on drugs. Bolivian President Evo Morales, seen last month, says his government will control its anti-drug activities. Morales made the remarks in a speech in a remote part of Bolivia, carried on national television and radio stations. full story

The Police Department won't ease enforcement of marijuana laws following the passage of a ballot initiative making that the "lowest law enforcement priority."
"No. 1, it's not a law. It's a resolution," Police Chief Lawrence Mahuna said. "No. 2, there will be no change how we prioritize the enforcement of marijuana.

We've had our celebrations; now the real work begins.
In Massachusetts, where 65 percent of voters mandated an end to minor marijuana possession arrests, police and pundits are already calling on lawmakers to amend -- or even repeal -- the new law. Therefore, if you reside in Massachusetts, it is critical that you contact your state elected officials, as well as Democrat Gov. Deval Patrick and Attorney General Martha Coakley, and demand that they fully implement the will of 1,938,366 registered voters of the commonwealth of Massachusetts who voted "yes" on 2.
"The prestige of government has undoubtedly been lowered considerably by the prohibition law. For nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced. It is an open secret that the dangerous increase of crime in this country is closely connected with this."

Law Would Increase Marijuana Use?
Law Would Increase Marijuana Use?
FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF PROPOSITION 215
Use of marijuana by California students has declined since passage of Proposition 215. Biennial surveys of student drug use released by the state Attorney General's office show that marijuana use peaked around 1996, the same year Prop. 215 was approved, and declined continually in subsequent years through 2004.
'After Two Puffs, I Was Turned Into a Bat'
Admitting to marijuana use became a popular way of avoiding conscription, and murderers cited the brainwashing powers of "an addictive drug which produces in its users insanity, criminality and death" to plead diminished responsibility for their crimes. Their claims were frequently supported by an expert witness, the pharmacologist Dr James Munch, who claimed that "after two puffs on a marijuana cigarette, I was turned into a bat". Sentences were commuted from death to imprisonment on Munch's evidence, and Anslinger had to ask him to stop testifying.

"Why are we the ONLY industrial nation that does not allow hemp? Every hemp product that is purchased in the US is imported! From Dr. Bronner's hemp soap, to hemp seeds for snacks, to clothing, to bio-fuels, to oil and animal feed- every bit of hemp we use is foreign grown! Not one single legal hemp-nut is American grown! WHY?
Hemp is easy to grow, needs little in the way of fertilizers or pesticides and can produce multiple crops from one planting (fiber, seed for feed or oil, and CBD for medical uses). It is useful in crop rotation.
One source I read claimed that the levies in Mississippi were once stable because they were covered in wild hemp. The DEA wiped it out and the levies failed. Whether this is true or not, millions of tax dollars are wasted on the futile attempt to wipe out feral hemp- that won't even get you high! The war on cannabis MUST stop! It is a total waste of my tax dollars!
Why must we keep acceding to the wishes of a long dead timber baron, and prevent hemp from being a new and profitable crop for America's farmers? "

Thanks for the link, I sent in a note to whomever is gonna read that stuff on the site...
"Cannabis, or hemp, should be treated the same as prescription drugs at the very least. Many scientific studies have debunked the claims of "marijuana" being harmful to the mind and body when used properly. In fact, ingesting cannabis in a healthy manner helps the body's Endocannabinoid System (the ECS) to fight pain, stress, and inflamation. Cannabinoids also serve as a neuroprotectant, which is the total opposite of killing brain cells like the infamous rumors often state. The entire role of the ECS is still unknown and more research must be approved to study it.
Cannabis can be easily and cheaply grown for the medicines that can be extracted from the flowers. The flowers and oils can be heated to vaporize the cannabinoids and inhaled for immediate effects. An all-natural pill can be taken orally to avoid any side effects produced from the combustion of plant material. In highly concentrated forms it is virtually impossible to suffer from an overdose.
Industrial hemp alone can save our country's impending energy crisis, since hemp is the number one best source for creating biofuel - a renewable energy source! It's rapid rate of photosynthesis will even help clean our air. Also, the hemp plant's root system is great for holding the topsoil together to prevent erosion.
Hemp seeds provide much nutritional value too. Foods made from hemp seeds contain all the essential amino acids, easily digestible protein, and the perfect balance of omega fatty acids that our bodies are often deprived of.
I could mention all of the benefits from building materials and textiles made from industrial hemp, but that would make this comment very lengthy.
Medicine, renewable energy, fresh air, nutrition, clothing, and building materials; most of our basic needs can be met by one plant. It's a plant that mankind has relied on from the dawn of creation and should never be neglected nor outlawed."
