You might get 2 hrs. from a new one. Vapolution advertises 2 hrs. Mine's good for about 90 min. and it's a couple of years old. Haven't used it a lot though.

Not smoke dude. It's vapor. Visible vapor is all about lighting. The unit can't overheat. It's built into the design.

As for coughing, the herbalAire has made my wife cough, so there goes your theory. Not everyone's lungs are the same.

How long does it stay hot before it needs some serious preheating agian? I plan on using my PD on the boat. And it will take me roughly 10 minutes to be able to get the PD plugged in on the boat. Will it have cooled off enough that it will take more than 15 minutes to get back to temp? And there is no indicator for when it's at temp right?

If you leftovers are brown and not black then there was no smoke released, period. I don't think burning starts happening until 390 and above, not sure though. I use my herbie at 360-375. Not once have I blackened my bud, and my vapor is nice and thick. Vapor can be very thick, and look even thicker in a lot of light. I know you vape too, but don't make such comments when you are only guessing.

I'm not sure. I asked Tom, the PD builder. He hasn't done the 10 min. unplug either. Your best bet is to wrap it up in good in some newspaper or other insulating material to help it retain heat. The colder it is outside, the more it'll cool off. You'll have to experiment. Best of course, to leave it plugged into your car adapter as long as possible, then switch it over to the boat. Or get a Vapolution battery pack and you're good to go.

So a vape with a set temp of 375-380 just runs all the way up to combustion temp of 450+? Right. You need to learn what vapor looks like in streaming sunlight dude. Visible vapor is all about the lighting.

its vapor. sunlight can make a vapor cloud look alot "fuller" then in a dark room.

take a hit out of your vape and blow it into the sunlight shinning into a room vrs blowing it in a dark corner.
