Ive been in the same position. Biggest things are you just can't speed at all because the po po now have it out for you and want to fill their quota and privacy and discretion when smoking is necessity. Its a massive snowball effect that goes bad soon if you dont make serious changes.

basically dude, you just need to stop and think before you do the stupid shit you do. Like is it really necessary to be hauling ass down the street with weed/paraphernalia on you? Are you really in that big of a hurry that you don't care about going to jail? come on man. Why are you carrying around scales and shit? you leave that stuff at the house. If you need it that bad, keep it hidden and not actually on you. Are you really even in college? because most of the people i know that smoke at my college definitely know better than to do stuff like that, plus they also know how to use paragraphs/correct grammar.
I don't mean to sound like an ass, but you really do need to stop and think man. You also need to know your rights and become an informed citizen. If an officer asks you to search your car, you can refuse. They need probable cause before they can do that. If you hadn't been drinking then why did you just give into the officer? Stand up for yourself.

You stuck out like a sore thumb. That's why they were messing with you.

You know... there is a big difference here.... I went out of county last night to drop off a couple ounces to a friend who is in a very dry area. What I took up there was very stanky, and even though I had it in the inside pocket of my heavy leather motorcycle jacket, I could smell it all the way up there. I obeyed the driving laws and passed a few officers both sitting parked and patrolling and none bothered me. I stayed a while and enjoyed a nice bon fire. I got back onto my bike around 2am and headed home.
It was cold, especially with a half helmet so i stroked it all the way.... until I came up behind a county deputy doing 90 in a 55.... he slid to the shoulder allowing me to pass... as soon as I saw him hit his brakes I knew it was a cop.... I let off the throttle and coasted past him. He came right out behind me and hit the blues...
I pulled into a country church parking lot so we would both be safe from anyone hitting up on the shoulder. He gets out and first thing he asks is "Why are you running so fast?" And I told him I was trying to get home out of the cold. He says something like "it is kind of cold to be out on a bike." I get off my bike and pull my wallet out to get my license out and realize I can still strongly smell what I transported earlier.
I did my best to keep the bike between him and I. I knew I did not have anything else on me, so he could not arrest me for a smell, but I didnt want to give him a reason. I showed him all the respect he deserved, as he showed me the same. I gave him the license, he went back to his car and called me and my bike in. Once he got the report back that the bike was clean and I did not have any wants or warrants on my, he came back, handed me my license and tells me that he doesnt want a deer flying out in front of me while I am doing 90 nor did he want to get a call to come scrape me up off the pavement. He told me to slow it down and let me go without so much as a written warning.
I have had a lot of run ins with the police over my few years on this earth. Some where I have been a complete asshole to the cops, and some where I have been nice as hell, some where I got screwed over no matter what attitude I displayed. But out of all of them, I get into the least trouble when I am cool and up front with them.
I got pulled over years ago for doing 85 in a 55, and I talked to the cop as if he were my best friend. 10 minutes after he had me pulled over there were 10 other cop cars there. I knew I was going to jail. I had a suspended license, was on parole, and was driving an unregistered car that did not belong to me. I was on my way home from work at 3am at the time. All said and done, he wrote me a ticket for 80 in a 65, and let me drive home.
Attitude has a lot to do with how they treat you (not in all cases, some cops are pigs, but not all of them).

You gotta build a security system dude. One quit doing stupid shit and two listen to the ones on this site, they know.
Now as for the smell or odor get some damn bioextreme and spray you and your car and clothes down after smoking, hell spray down the container and whatever this shit will get rid of any odor, and I have beat the dog with it.
Just google it bioextreme I cant remember if its .com or .net or what, it is used for hunting but I use it for other stuff. Cheap and damn well worth it...
