police cracking down on my ass

for the last 3 moths Ive gotten in quite a bit of trouble with the police (majority due to pot possession). it all started in the middle of the summer when i was driving on my way home from my buddies house in nh. it was 1 in the morning and a cop pulled me over for doing 80 in a 65. so he comes up to the window gets my liscense and tells me that he smells alchohol on my breath so it would be a good idea to allowhim to search my truck. (i hadnt been drinking). so he searches my truck and finds 2 pipes that have a little bit of weed in each of them. so he slapped the cuffs on me and took me to the slammer lol. sucked but still got to work the next day with no sleep.
so 2 weeks ago i went to court to pay the fines for the charges that were pressed against me. i had possesion of pot and transportation. i go into the court room and get called up and start talking to the judge. she asked me if i was high at the moment which sort of offended me (im going to court to fight charges not gonna smoke before it). i was tired because im now in college(umass amherst) and its a 3 hour ride back to portsmouth nh and i had to be there by 8 am. so anyways since i had no other charges they let me out on good behavior probation till my next court date which is on the 29th of oct. which sucks cause i have to drive back in a month. o well not too bad. well on my way back to college i stop by my house and talk to some of my old buddies. we roll up a blunt and u buy an ounce because weed is so expensive in college. i head back to college and i go over a hill on the highway and theres a state trooper with his gun pointed right at me. i no i was going about 80 and he points at me and tells me to pull over. i almost shit my pants because i have an ounce and a mini scale on me in the car. so i try pulling over but theres a shitload of traffic and i look in the rearview and the cops stillwalking back to his car. so i floor it and fly off the next off ramp and manage to get away form the cop (saw him goiong atleast 120 whil i was on a overpassing bridge). almost shitttttttt my pants lol but i got away. well get a call from my dad saying that i got a ticket in the mail for 300 for speeding. not too bad considering what could have happened if i had gotten caught with the pot and scale. so after that i thought everything would settle down and id begin to have a good time at college. last night i go outside wit 3 of my friends to smoke a blunt. we walked from our dorms into the woods a little ways away. we come out of the woods and theres the pigs, just waiting there. we were already in the parking lot when we noticed them so we decided to just keep walking to make it not look sketchy. well the cop runs out of his car starts screaming at us and tells us to sit on the ground and empty ourpockets. we sat on the ground but did not empty out pockets because there was really no need to, he did not catch us doing anything. the cop calls for backup and now theres like 4 cruisers in the parking lot at midnight and were all high and i have a warrant for my arrest. I knew i had a scale on me and could have sworn that i had a bag of bud on me. well we all got searched and i apparently didnt have the weed but i did have a scale and they were trying sooooooooo hard to get me to caugh up some info ect on why i had it if i was pushin and stuff like that. well turns out that a scale isnt paraphanelia and the cops were pissed that we didnt have anything else on us and let us go and gave me my scale back. but before i left the cops were saying how i was on the radar and they know it was all me who got them the weed (which is partly true). sorry for the long post but kinda need to get this out considering my good friends are a couple fo hours away. what are anybodies thoughts, and i just a fuckin idiot? lol that what im thinking. but im voting yes on number 2:jointsmile:

I would have to agree.. no offense.. that you are not that bright. The cops are not breathing down your neck, but rather you are creating a situation for trouble.

When transporting hide your stash well, never consent to searches, and obey all the traffic laws regardless of what time it is. Also never smoke out in public, at night, in a place you shouldn't be.

If you don't stop making stupid decisions you are going to end up in jail, but I'm no lawyer so don't take it from me.

I would say good luck but I feel no sympathy for people who bring trouble upon themselves.

Lets keep it simple....First off, you keep drawing attention to yourself.... speeding, bunch o guys coming outta the woods at night.... your asking to get stopped and checked. Bet your prolly driving "cop candy" too....windows with real dark tint, fancy wheels, tunes blasting, sub rockin the neighborhood, etc.

Your getting stopped and harrassed becaust you forgot 2 simple rules....
1) What you do in the privacy of *YOUR* own home is your business, but what you do in public is subject to scruteny.
2) Don't put yourself in a position where somebody has to do something about it in the first place.

Nobody ever got stopped for driving an econobox the speed limit that was all stock, and had normal windows in it, and the volume turned down.

BTW... if the cop says that he smells alcohol. then *DEMAND* a breathalyzer test, and do *NOT* allow him to search your vehicle....roll up the windows and lock the doors.

just a fyi, the "are you under the influence" question they ask in court is for a reason, not because they think you are high. I guess legally you can't agree to anything while under the influence of a substance and it be legally binding, or something similar to that. Had you used a lawer, it prolly would have been him asking the question and not the judge.

We do NOT allow talk of dealing here and unless you are on the world's strictest diet (and there had better be bits of oatmeal stuck under the tray of the scale to prove it), driving around with pot and scales means just that.
