Resale value shouldn't even enter into it unless your gonna swap out cars avery 2 or 3 years.....that being the case, your better off leasing. FWIW, the *average* operating cost of my Tundra is $1258.42/month, driving an average of 29,000 miles per year. That includes note, insurance, fuel, maint/repairs, washing it, etc. If I didn't have the 6cyl and get 18mpg while toting 1,000lbs in the back all the time, the costs would be a lot higher. I shudder to think what the costs would be for a big V-8 or diesel
Figure the costs to operate for both the honda and the toyota and see which is going to be the better value.
