They hid the weed in pottery --- put the pot in the pots.
When I was a kid I went down to Tijuana with a friend and his mom. We bought a bunch of things, including a Mexican clay pot. When we came back across the border, the border agent asked us what we had to declare and she started going through the bag of things and said, "Some vanilla, a kilo of coffee beans, a liter of Bacardi, a leather wallet ... oh, yeah, we have a pot in the trunk."
"WHAT? You have POT in the TRUNK!"
Shit, I thought we were all going to get strip searched, but she told him it was just a clay pot, and we didn't even have to go through secondary inspection or even pop the trunk.
Maybe that's what these guys were counting on.

Made me think of these stupid fuckers that come around trying to raise money for the DARE and hugs not drugs program because their funding has been cut...How I wish I would see one of them while I'm not at work...I could tell them just what I think about the anti-drug movement in America and how it's failed miserably...
