Oh, now that you say it is cold where you live, it's probably also dark this time of year. She might have seasonal affective disorder. She can try taking:

Vitamin D (400 IU if she is taking a multivitamin, 1000 if not)
DHA oil (like Cod Liver Oil or Udo's DHA Oil)
5-HTP (as long as she doesn't take any other mental health meds or issues)
Native Woman (by New Chapter Organics)

It is normal for women to go a period of time and not be interested in sex. It's also normal for you to be upset by this though. It's not disrespectful for you to ask about it unless you're pestering her about it. If it goes more than a month or 2 you need to sit down and have a serious conversation about it. She needs to understand that sex is important to you as a means of intimacy in and of itself.

yeahh i know that sounds mean but I had an ex that was JUST like that and man do I regret wasting my time. It just got worse. Now I'm not saying it will for you but I rarely see those things get better...at least not for me or any of my friends.

My gf now kicks all forms of ass, BUT I'm having the same prob as you...we've been dating almost 4 years and I'm lucky if it happens once a month now. Who knows what the prob is. Soooo I just take care of myself, that way it doesn't seem like im trying to get it all the time, and well if she wants it then it look slike shes going to wait like I have :D

I think what will turn her on is being a man. Don't ask for it, take it. You know how to turn her on already, so go and do that. Persistence and attraction.

Also, if she's bored, I'd suggest reading up on some new tricks, or asking her directly what turns her on the most.

Women want sex just as bad as men do. The difference is that females are turned in a bit different way than men are. She's your girlfriend, you know best about what turns her on.
