Thanks Everyone,
This is all great advice!!!
One more Question: Now I am really thinking way ahead.
Next summer I am thinking of doing an outdoor grow. How well do clones from indoor mothers do outside?
You can get a jump on all outdoor crops by vegging in time for the nice weather. If you can preveg and then go outside you can increase the size of the plant hence possible greater yeild. I think it would work best with a sativa dom as opposed to an indica dom.
I'm still reading though so take my advice with a grain of salt.
I have read where you can get 2 crops in one summer by doing an 8 week veg with 24/0 then place them outside as soon as early May. Then they immediately go into flowering with the light change and harvest in July, then at the same time your second crop is veging in the box. Then transplant in same holes as harvested and this harvest is in September. Then back indoors. for the winter.
Now you got the idea.
But you gotta be able to clone to do this.
BTW I just read your post again.....I'm not experienced..keep that in mind.
You're right I need to start learning how to cloan this crop!!!
Now I have a picture in my mind of 30 perfect w/w plants at harvest outdoors and my jaw on the ground in aww of the sight. Knowing I am going to place 30 more right back in the ground and do it again.
what continent do you live on?
where i live plants wont even start to flower until july or august
same hemisphere as you. You are tricking the plants into flowering by doing the vegitive growth stage indoors under 24/0 lights on then move them outside and the daylight the plants think its time to flower.
As long as you are contemplating making the grow environments for cloning, you might want to put some thought and planning into the accommodations for the mother plant(s). A mother plant, if treated well, can last for years and there's no reason that you can't have more than one strain of mothers. So you can still grow your seeds and try different strains and keep mothers for the strains you like. But you pretty much need a separate environment (grow box/area) for the moms.Quote:

Blink - you need to start feeding your mommas! I've got one WW mother that puts out 50 clones every two weeks. ...not that that is necessarily the best thing in the world, vis-a-vis the tribble factor, but that plant does love to grow.Quote:

You could build a box to cover each one and at 12 hours of light cover it.
That way you can get two cycles per summer.
