My parents are evil :(

alrite dude,im 20 now and a couple of summers ago my parents found joint ends in my room(no one smokes in the house,getting rid of them is tricky,theres only so many i can throw into next door neighbours garden) they got more freaked out about me smoking and burning the house down than anything,i think in time parents come to accept that your going to do it anyway,its not openly talked about but my parents realise i could be doing a lot worse...i used to think i hated my parents but now im a little older we get on really well.id count yourself lucky you have two parents,so there a bit anal at the moment,there just worried,it will pass

hahaha,. i hated my mom for almost 2 years straight, before she she loosened the fuck up. i just didnt stop doing my thing. i got caught with diferent things multiple times back then, the longest i ever stopped everything for my mom and being in trouble and drug tested and shit was 4 days.....nowadays i think it was worth going through that much trouble, i knew it was the only way to change her mind. (it really was). we are all cool now though. yeah and a lot of kids, like when they get to like high school and shit, a lot of moms are going or about to go through menopause. They are ruthless bitches.....well my mom was for about 2 years....and shes about the right age i would suspect,,,,,i dunno if that made any sense.....this wasnt supposed to be a long thread,

Maybe I'm wrong, but it sounds like one or other of your parents is from a deeply religious background (or indeed, a military one). If that is true, then I'm afraid that you're gonna have a very difficult job to change their opinions - but still doesn't hurt to try ;)

I'm sorry to tell you this, but until you're 18 and living under your own roof, you gotta respect their rules. It's a tough break, man, I know all too well, but it's the way it is.

But here's where you gotta be clever.
Don't be flaring up in their faces and giving them a whole load of shit, because you will be the only one to suffer - think about how you'd look to them - "obviously the drugs have turned him into a raving psycho!" - get it? :)
Instead, stay calm and reasonable.

They only want to protect you, like others have said, and maybe their opinions about providing that protection (ie, against cannabis) are a little misguided, then maybe you should do some research yourself.
Every now and then, you could tell them some of your findings to help them understand better - but not in a "see, it is safe, so I should be allowed to smoke it" kinda way, but rather a "I have been thinking about what you said, and decided to research it further, and this is some of my findings" kinda way...

Wow... interesting thread.. that's for sure. Me... my parents have never caught me in the act of toking up, and if they did i think i'd be kicked out of my house for good. I am 17 so i can relate to how you feel man... but i do have a few tips for you. Until recently, when i smoked i would use a toilet paper roll with dryer sheets in it, open my window, blow my smoke out my window (Which was a good or bad thing, depending on the direction of the wind) and shut the window when i was done, and spray my room with tons of smelly shit. My dad did come in once while me and my older brother were just done smoking and asked what the smell was, we just said it was his jacket cause he was at a bar and he bought it (my brother is 24... he was visiting for the day). Recently I have found a perfect plot to smoke my weed in my room with my parents never finding out. I cleared out my entire closet cept for a few select things (luckily i have a walk in closet), put lantern in there, black lights, fog machine, and bean bag chairs, and smoke my reefer in the closet... some of the time i'll use the toilet paper roll with dryer sheets just to be on the safe side, when i'm done i spray my closet with cologne, walk out, shut the door, and it's all good. The cologne gets rid of the weed smell, and my room never smells at all.... my best advice for you, use a bong or a pipe (preferrably a pipe, easier to hide... i hide all my weed and pipe in a computer game box), and clean out your closet and smoke in there. If you do use a pipe, after you're done with every hit hold the lighter over the top of the bowl to make sure no excess smoke gets out, and blow it out of a toilet paper tube with dryer sheets. That's the best advice i can give you, and good luck man.

cut off the bottom of a water bottle,,,,,stuff that with dryer sheets,,,,,,blow thru where the cap would be..........those work really well.
