Plant from femmenized seed has seeds...

I had one hermie from 12 feminized ice seeds a while back, they say if you temp goes over a certain temp you got a good chance of it happening.

damn, that sucks, o well, maybe all this bad luck will somehow give you better luck in the future...i dont know. haha

btw..what are feminized seeds?

feminized seeds are supposedly supposed to be guaranteed females when u grow them :thumbsup:

o wtf, how come ive never heard of that! haha, how can you tell though, i thought that it was sortof an myth that you could tell. like with the vains and the shape and the Volcano on the bottom and what not. does it actually work??

You can't tell by looking... we recently covered that on anoher thread... but you can guarantee fem seeds by selfing a female plant with forced herm -> male sex parts that will produce pollen with no Y chromosome, giving only XX seeds which will express as female.

now i never knew that part about it :) so i suppose thats why there a bigger risk of your plants turning hermie because its kinda allready half hermie :wtf:

you are exactly right! the origin of fem seeds is by definition from a forced herm, and you don't know HOW the herm was forced, or if you are going to unknowingly re-create those conditions in your own grow... chemical herms- gibberellin- are one thing but photoperiod stress is easy to unwittingly recreate and end up with your own crop of feminizd beans... in the bud you just wanted to SMOKE lol! :D

So the seeds that will be in this bud are going to be femenized seeds, not full hermies?

i had the same problem with my arjan's haze #3 femalized.

i was growing 2 plants and my brother inlaw was growing 1 plant and we both ended up with with seeds, 1 of my plants was fine and the other had seeds about 50 seeds, not many but still its seed, was well gutted cos these babys took 13 weeks to flower, still the weed tasted pretty nice.

these seeds came from the green house company.

also bought some white widow femalized seeds when i bought those and started those seeds about a month ago, all seeds popped but when they come to sprout from the pots nothing happened . finally 1 seed sprouted from the soil and the other 4 was just a no show :(

i wont be buying greenhouse femal seeds again.
