I've got lots of lady bugs in my room. I'm always catching them on my porch and bringing them in. I've always got 2-3 that you can spot right off. Another 3-6 usually hide around.

There are two types of ladybugs - the orange asian invaders and the usual red ones. Red ones are the ones you want.
I've seen two types. One with the normal red spotted shell, and another with some other color shell. I've never brought what you call "orange asian invaders" into my house. Mostly out of fear of the unknown.
What are the orange invaders?? And if one got past me, would it be harmful?
The orange ones bite, more a washed out red really, and if squished in retaliation their blood can sting a bit. Otherwise they serve the same purpose as the native ones.
hm. i always thought that they were just the ugly ones in the family. ive got about a 50/50 population of both

Go to Spider mites and their control with predators and read up on predatory mites.
They can help with your spider mite problems.
The best way to prevent spider mite infestation would be a proactive
approach, and release predatory mites before you have a problem....
Strawberry growers have been doing this for over 30 years...
Once you notice you have spider mites it can get very costly to control them.
Hope this helps.

its been years since i had to do this i used i think it was a mixture of baking soda and water. spray on the mites and it cacoons them in a substance that is like concrete to them. now do some research on his cause like i said its been years and i may be wrong about the baking soda, but im pretty sure it was either that or very fine round flour
