I know, mites are tough work. I'll be interested in following your ladybug attempt.

Use a small dish with pebbles and fill with water leaving some of the pebbles above water. Ladybugs will live longer when they have something to drink .

Good advice on the water for the ladybugs ... The Borg be tough ... especially fighting them organically. Chemically, piece of pie or is that cake? I won't do cannabis that's been exposed to chemicals ... man-made chemicals that is ... are their any naturally occurring chemicals? Anyway, I've tried tobacco, pepper and numerous other 'teas' and had varying degrees of success with some of them ... ah, but they never beat The Borg! Neem oil, green soap, dilute lye nothing totally irradicated them ... 'cept for a chemical, the name of which escapes me now methly something or other ... trust me it's not important ... you don't want to use this crap ... it would be like taking poison ... not good!

Bottom line, fight 'em organically with everything you can teas soaps etc. everyday! Control 'em ... minimize 'em ... if you can wipe them off!

Harvest ... dry ... cure (very important).

Now ... clean every surface in the growroom, nursery, etc. AND every piece of equipment ... to say again ... EVERY PIECE OF EQUIPMENT, lights, fans, ducting, everything with a 10-15% solution of bleach and water.

There, isn't that better ... now you're ready to start growing in a Borg free environment.

Ya gotta keep at keeping your growing environment clean, not silicon wafer steril, but clean dam it!

Don't wear your outdoor gardening clothes in ya growroom, eh!

Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it ... cause it's server me right these many years.

    Later,
    Helen

Pyrethrum can be made into an insecticidal spray. It's what most commercial "green earth" products are made from.

I have some growing in the garden but haven't had a need to try.

    Ohhhhh shiiiit. JINX.

MYBE I SHOULD HAVE DONE A LITTLE MORE RESEARCH. APON FRIST LETTING THE ARMY GO, THEY SWARMED AROUND LOST AS FUCK. AND SINCE I DIDN'T LEAVE THEM IN THE REFRIGERATOR LONG ENOUGH THEY ALL STARTED FLYING AROUND(THEY DONT FLY IF THERE UNDER 55 DEGRESS), EVERY WHERE BUT THE PLANTS. I READ ABOUT THE WATER BOWL WITH ROCKS TO LATE. SO NOW I HAVE 4300 DEAD LADYBUGS I HAVE TO CLEAN UP. I'D SAY THERES ABOUT 200 STILL HALF ALIVE. FROM WHAT I'VE READ LADYBUGS ARE MORE APHIDE KILLERS THEN MITE KILLERS. THATS 32$ DOWN THE DRAIN. LIVE AND LEARN. NEXT ASSAULT WILL BE THE GREEN LACE-WIG LARVEA.

How anti-climatic. I was anticipating reading all the details of a bloody borg war, but all that happens is the defending army dies.

Hope you have better luck with the larvae!

lets revive this since ladybugs are great garden additions

i love em cuz they do some damage to mites (none this grow) and look cool walking around on plant.

unfortunately, they have a way of getting caught in the cfls and dying, or stepping between the contacts on the light sockets and leaving zapped carcases....
