We are criminals, because we are breaking the law. If we get arrested we are victims of a hypocritical legal system, where alcohol is allowed but cannabis isn't. The only people keeping it illegal are the conservatives who think if it's a drug it must be bad, and we are probably all muggers.
it's a victimless crime. if the government made it legal, they could control the import and quality of weed. then they could stop whining that it fuels terrorism.

THINK IF MARIJUANA WAS LEGAL AND THEY SOLD HEMP PRODUCTS AND THE MONEY USED FROM THE HEMP PRODUCTS OPENED SCHOOLS AND HOSPITALS PEOPLE WOULD SAY DRUGS PAID FOR THIS SCHOOL/HOSPITAL W/E AND IT WOULD GO AGAINST CERTAIN PEOPLS BULLSHIT ETHICS. NOT JUST THAT MAYBE IF MORE PEOPLE WERE RESPONISIBLE WE WOULDNT BE LABLLED CRIMINALS.
It is only the system of punishing people for consentual, i.e. victimless, crimes that makes us both criminals and victims. I just found a book on the subject this morning (full text online at http://www.drugtext.org/library/books/aint/toc.htm ) called Ain't Nobody's Business If You Do which makes the case much more eloquently than I ever could, explaining how much energy is lost and how much damage is done to society and individuals by criminalizing acts that don't harm anyone else's bodies or properties.
