For info concerning emails from banks, paypal, ebay and the others check out Snopes.com for more info. Am I allow to give out links, even if they are informative ones ?
They are called phishing scams, they want you to verify all your info then they steal it. They are clever about it though so be careful when giving out your personal info.
If these folks used all their creativity to sell a legitimate product and did it honestly they could be rich.

p.s. chisme you probably should've deleted your name from the post, aswell as your e-mail address, people can use that for e-mails like this, and not every stoner is as nice as most the people here, alot of the "guests" can see that info too. i'd ask for a mod to edit your post to remove those details.
Peace :hippy:
Ever since I started my own email server these phisies are pretty much non existant... When my email was comcast I got them all the time... it's like the crooks gain access to major email servers for lists... By my findings i am pretty confident Paypal and Ebay are not the breech... tracing these bugers the bulk are from China I had one from Germany that looked exactly like an Ebay page,,,pretty convincing... simple rule is to never give your info to anyone that asks!!!
i agree, they're just guessing that you use paypal... i got one a while ago from e-gold or somethin like that, it stuck out in my mind cuz i had never even heard of that site before recieving that mail, yet somehow i was a member? like i'd be dumb enough to fall for that lolQuote:

thats how easy it is to distinguish phish mail from real mail.
Damn scammers. That reminds me of the news on MySpace when a phisher got sued, funny thing about it is MySpace is a free service and some one still got sued for scamming xD.
