Well the lil girls starting to grow up. The macro on my camera sucks, but for all of you watching/reading my thread I made sure to take some half way decent macros so you can see the lil buds forming.
All the plants are on there 8th day of 12/12.
First up is a couple macros shots of my sativa girl. Notice in the first picture the glistening of tricomes already starting to appear on the leaves...
Here are a few shots of my favorite indica girl taken today (day 8 of 12/12) Notice how in the picture showing the whole plant , it has grown many budsites. It has grown all these in the last 8 days since being placed under hps. I will post photos of my other indica the "finicky girl" when my grow light comes back on it turned of for the night while I was snapping photos. One thing I noticed about the finicky indica girl is she seems to have quite a few tricomes on her leaves already.
So how do you all think the girls are comming along?

I don't know if you read my posts, but a week ago, I killed all four of my plants, because I was convinced they were male. They had pre-flowers, that were male preflowers. Well, they had a bunch of little "preflowers" but no pistils, and when I separated the preflowers, they formed a "petal".
I'm starting to wonder though, if some of them weren't males, and I'm getting pissed, thinking of the fact that I could have killed some females.
So, when female preflowers show up, do they start as pistils? Or do they start as a little preflower, and then grow pistils?
They start out as a little tear drop shape things and then get either 1 or two white hairs that can take a long time unless you flower them. Male preflowers usually are not "pointy" like a female preflower and usually come in pairs or more,
you should always wait to kill a male until your 100% positive its male. Sorry about your bad luck bro are you gonna try another grow?
...Well, I'm pretty sure I killed three females and 1 male then... Because only one of the three, had a cluster of those things, and was on a stem. I was 99% sure it was a male. I used a jewelry magnifying glass and everything.
But, the other three, they each had one of those pointy tear drop shaped things, that I assumed would turn into a male like the other, since it kind of looked similar, and I didn't see any white pistils...
Until just finding this out, I was discouraged about ever growing again, unless I had a clone, or feminized seeds, or lowryder, all three of which are hard to get.
But, now that I think I might have had females, I might try again, but I'm going to save up for a hydro system and a grow box this time.
By the way, do you have any close of pictures of female preflowers BEFORE they show their pistils, that way I can be sure of what I had?

horror business nope dont got any pics of preflowers that are that early in development my camera that I had then wouldnt have been able to take a pic of them. You really need to wait until there are sign's of pre-flowers that tell sex before you cull your plants. Dont kill a plant unless your sure its male, (that it has at least a pair of balls next to each other)

Im currently working on building a very stealth veg/mother cabinet, with a "kitty liter" carbon scrubber and all. Its gonna be very stealth because its gonna be in a cabinet underneath one of my aquariums in my living room no less.. lol. Will prolly post pics of it when its further along.
On another note I picked up a cheap "soil ph/light/wetness' multi probe thing from lowes for like $9 bucks and it sucked (at measuring ph) so I took it back. There $20 soil ph-only probe is alot nicer though. (Im tired of testing my soild with aquarium test kits lol)
My girls are comming along nicely there now on there 9th day of flower! lol...
The buds are starting to form nicely , hopefully this is a sign of giant colas in my future.
Nice plants, I sure wish I could have a 400W instead of a 250W >:[. I hope you get a nice harvest, will be watching :). Next time I think you should LST like I did. That one plant looks like if that tall plant grows any more it will be taller the the lights lol.
