i gained a lil weight in the last year, so my goal was to lose 50 lbs by end of summer/beginning of fall.
in the last month ive been taking stacker 2s and kind of watching what i eat, and doing a lil bit of training....its been a month havent weighed myself but ive lost prob 15lbs, anyways i just put in an order for a new stacker supply, but i decidid to stop drinking pop, juice, etc sugarry drinks, cause i think thats part of the prob.
so im only drinking water and flavoured water started, today, i love water anyway.
also starting running again....and next month ill start liftin again.

May I make a suggestion? Give yourself a little more time to lose that much weight. For most people(unless you are really obese) losing more than 2-3 pounds a week means you are also losing muscle tissue at the same time. Also the quicker it comes off the faster it will come back and the more likely you are to burnout and giveup on your training. Give yourself 6 months or a year and once the weight is off you will have a more quality finished look and it will stay off easier.

damn you must be a big guy, 50 lbs is like almost half of my body lol....what are stackers and if your weightlifting to lose weight you wont lose as much cause you'll gain muscle which ways more than fat.....do a bunch of cardio er whatever

I gave up soda too along with booze last year. I have occasional Dr.Pecker because that's the only kind I like. I have lost 50lbs since Sept. of /05.
Plenty of exercise is key. I bike 12km a day, sometimes more, and watch what I eat. Burn off more than you take in.

i doubt you will loose 50lbs by september, unless you get lyposuction, give yourself till the new year, that just makes more sense....

As far as juices go, I wouldn't completely give up those for your diet. The right ones are full of healthy vitamins that your body needs. I drink a shitload of Vitimin C and I know that's the reason I don't get sick as often.

-

theyre selling pepsi and soda so cheap because less and less people everyday are drinking it because they realize its bad for you?
i have a weird thought that the reason for low prices on fast food and soda is to drag u in and make u buy it, even tho its the worst for u, u just sorta wave it off and say.. BUT ITS CHEAP!
i stopped eating fast food and drinking soda a while ago, but i didnt lose the weight because i still eat sorta wrong. but cutting it out is definately better for your health. sure i wont buy a small coke for only .99 but i will buy a bottle of water at the same wendys for 1.35 or whatever.
just my 2 cents in to the convo :)

Id suggest keeping the juices and dropping the soda.

i drink about 3-5 bottles of water a day, about 3-5 cans of soda a week and have starting drinking about a glass or two of juice a day. I drink alot of fluids for some reason. I cant seem to gain weight either no matter what i eat. I'm right borderline on being underweight so im thinking im gonna lift weights to try and gain muscle and in turn gain weight.
-
giving up sodas, juices, etc.
i also gave up sodas quite along time ago, a glass of juice once a day is no problem though

I tried to stop drinking soda a while ago because it's destroying my teeth. But I just couldn't bear it. Soda tastes so damn good, and you gotta love the caffeine.

I need to quick drinking carbonated beverages...it seems to be all I drink most days. I've stopped before and there is a definite improvement to be gained.
-
giving up sodas, juices, etc.
I stopped drinking soda for the most part, and I noticed that my teeth feel a lot cleaner. They don't feel grimey at all during the course of my day. I drink water and lemonade now. I'll have a coke when me and my friends go out to eat and stuff, but other than that it's just
There is this lemonade called Wyler's Light and it doesn't have any sugar but you literally can't tell the difference between that and lemonade with sugar in it. Me and my friends'll get ripped and go through a gallon in about a half hour. It's fuckin orgasmic.

soda isnt that bad imo, sure it has half a cup of sugar in a can but unless your a teenager worried about gettig zits who cares. coffee is probably almost as bad for your body and soda isnt addicting...its scientifically proven or whatever that if you drink coffee once a day or however much you drink....
when you dont have it you'll feel alot more tired and shit so I guess what im saying is coffee is literally addicting and soda just tastes good thats why I drink coke every morning lol jk I wait till after 12 to have my first coke of the day lol gotta have boundary's
-
giving up sodas, juices, etc.
I just got off work and I'm drinking a nice cold Coke right now while smoking a bowl too...ahh, life is good.
-
giving up sodas, juices, etc.
i only drink pop occasionally, but never pepsi...that shit is gross, the feeling on your teeth after and shit ewww
i usually have a sprite when im out and about with people but other than that its basically all water and energy drinks when i need to stay up.

No, he shouldnt keep the juices.
Juice is full of sugar (fructose), eat fruit. You get all the vitamins without as much sugar and preservatives.
Good luck man, but (Im an amature bodybuilder studying to be a personal trainer) you should lift as well as doing cardio to lose fat.
Lifting ups your metabolism (the rate at which you burn calories) for up to 48 hours after you lift. Its only a few hours after cardio.
And stick to highers reps, do say 3 sets of 12 reps for each lift. And dont do cardio and weights on same day. Oh! and the best diet ever is high protein! and cut out the high GI carbs.
Good luck man! If you have any questions I could answer for you feel free

If you really want to kick your metabolism into overdrive start doing squats. Pick a weight you can do ten reps with and make yourself do 20. Add 5 pounds everytime you can and take 3 deep breaths between reps. I've gotten it up to 285 pounds 20 times in a row!!! I would be higher if I hadn't taken a break. I started about 2 1/2 years ago at 135 pounds 20 times in a row and have put on a shitload of muscle and can eat whatever I want. Try it I gaurantee it works.

285 x 20? Shit man...that's hard to believe if if you can do it well done! Seriously, you must be a big bastard! My max is 230, Im 16 and 186lbs.

Make sure to keep proper form while doing the squats though! All the way to the ground and dont do it stoned! I nearly passed out trying to squat stoned before...

Yeah I'm pretty good size 6'2 210 but I'm 22. it's really important to keep your back straight and look at a fixed point on the wall near the ceiling. I use a squat rack with a safety catch incase I can't get back up(wich has happened and sucks bad) You can seriously damage your back if you don't do this exercise properly but there is no exercise like it. Don't be surprised if you can hardly walk for a week after your first time attempting the 20 rep workout. It's a killer but makes you grow like a weed.

Hmm...I dont agree with you on 20 reps for growth I must say.
Im sure a noobie would grow with it, but it's not sustainable. I would use that kind of workout for endurance/fat loss.
I grow best with low reps, high weights and lots of good calories and rest.

check it out man. http://www.ironworkout.com/20_rep_squat.htm for some reason 20 is the magic number for rapid growth.
there is a book on this too I have it somewhere. It's called Super Squats. this article was just the first thing that came up when i googled it.

Oh yeah, It'd help to shock the muscle into growing. High reps has helped me through plateus a couple of times now, but not as a continuous mass gaining program! You need calories to grow, and 20 reps would burn a shit load of calories! ANd it's not the right range for hypertrophy

Just try it dude and eat alot. You will thank me. Ask any older strength trainer or bodybuilder you know about 20 rep squats or super squats. trust me guys have gotten over 1000 pound squats on this.

I've been told to try and gain 5 or 10 pounds, and I just don't seem to gain weight easily.
I normally don't drink sodas of any kind, but the other day, after probably not having had a soda in more than 7 years, I had a regular Coke. It was so good!
Now the drink I normally drink all day long, which is very watered-down cranapple juice, doesn't taste good any more. Just seems kinda flat. I wish I'd never drunk that Coke, but I still remember how good it tasted.

Something I like is Welch's rape juice, slightly watered down and some crushed ice. that's really good. Still alot of sugar but not all the other crap that's in soda
-

soda is one of my biggest vices. if i don't buy the cans of it at the store i stop at the convenience store to buy a 20 oz like 2 times a day. its absurd. i quit once for like 2 months and it didn't really do anything for me so i started up again and its great.

cokes and jucies contain way too much sugars. drop them and drop white flour too.....if its white in color....dont eat it. and for bird girl.....dont put on that weight with carbs........add a whey protein drink in the morning and you could pick up 5lbs in a few months. and also go to your local feed store and get a gallon of a product called "747" its a horse vitamen, add a table spoon to your protein shake.......its guarrented to put a hundred pounds on your horse in a month or your money back......ive been using it for 10 years at the least.
