styrofoam
Has anyone grown in styrofoam? I'm running a little experiment. I'm growing a waterlily in a styrofoam container with a 130 gph pump. I don't expect any mosquitos to lay their eggs in the container. The reason I believe this is the styrofoam leaches something in the water that mosquitos don't like. After a rain I noticed the containers that were not styrofoam had mosquito larvae and the ones that were styrofoam did not.
Anyone else try this? If this is true we could use styrofoam to make bird baths and such and not worry about mosquitos.

no, tastes like chicken.
el cheapo, the chickens do not like marijuana plants. I gave them one and they came down with the worst case of hiccoughs. I felt sorry for them. Thank goodness for me, since growing my plants out front is not an option. They love pepper plants and juicy ripe red tomatos.

I read that post where you fed the plants to the chooks. I was laughing my arse off. Being an animal lover I was a little sad for them too. Would probably be the equivalent of us eating an ounce!
Just my thoughts and slightly off subject but I donā??t agree with giving weed to dogs or blowing smoke in their face. They pride themselves on being alert at all times. And apparently they are more prone to lung cancer than we are. Keep your dog mentally and physically healthy by preventing them from consuming cannabis or from entering smoke filled rooms.

el cheapo, I am an animal lover too. I have 7 chickens, 5 aracuanas and two black austrolops (sp?). One of the chickens comes in the garage every morning and lays an egg for my breakfast. Two desert tortoises, 2 box turtles, a stray cat or two and a parakeet. I read a story about a dog with arthritis and back pain. The owner gave the dog mj stems to chew and the dog could get around again. Mj is healing and good. Very low toxic medicine. Much safer than aspirin.
