styrofoam
Has anyone grown in styrofoam? I'm running a little experiment. I'm growing a waterlily in a styrofoam container with a 130 gph pump. I don't expect any mosquitos to lay their eggs in the container. The reason I believe this is the styrofoam leaches something in the water that mosquitos don't like. After a rain I noticed the containers that were not styrofoam had mosquito larvae and the ones that were styrofoam did not.
Anyone else try this? If this is true we could use styrofoam to make bird baths and such and not worry about mosquitos.Gen Reviewed by Gen on . styrofoam Has anyone grown in styrofoam?
