Today this guy was trying to tell me that since hydroponic weed is grown in water and uses chemicals to grow plants that the chemicals go into the buds and u end up smoking the chemicals i didn't believe it at all. He also said acetone and ammonia was a natural chemical in marijuana along with some other stuff.

Same applies to soil... you can grow soil with chemicals, as well as organic nutes.
Growers do a "flush" about 14 to 7 days before harvest of their plants... they give their plants pure water, so the plant gets, um, "flushed". ;)
