Today this guy was trying to tell me that since hydroponic weed is grown in water and uses chemicals to grow plants that the chemicals go into the buds and u end up smoking the chemicals i didn't believe it at all. He also said acetone and ammonia was a natural chemical in marijuana along with some other stuff.

You can grow hydro with chemicals, or you can grow hydro with organic nutrients.

Either way, it isn't like you're using paint thinner to grow it... you probably intake more chemicals when you eat @ McDonald's

Same applies to soil... you can grow soil with chemicals, as well as organic nutes.

Growers do a "flush" about 14 to 7 days before harvest of their plants... they give their plants pure water, so the plant gets, um, "flushed".

He's right in some situations. If the plants are grown with chemical ferts and aren't flused properly then that's what happens.
