InsideSun products are fucking useless. Return the product and buy either a HydroFarm, SunSystems or Sunleaves grow light kit. I know it costs slightly more but trust me it is worth it in the years to come. Here are two trustworthy websites to buy from that I have used in the past. www.bghydro.com and www.gchydro.com
I know you feel like you got screwed but I suggest you return it now and get a good system. Good luck.
I don't think they are useless. It's just easier to find a lemon with a refurbished unit. They sell new stuff too though. Email the guy and tell him, I'm sure he'll do you right.

I'm intrigued with this 'conversion bulb'... maybe you can do that... but my ballast has like 443 warnings that I shouldn't connect a MH bulb to the HPS side, and the other way around...
