power usage

I recently came in to several lights 400w. Iam wary of the utility bills for these lights. Does anybody have any ideas as to how to cover this?? Does anybody have a source for alternate power to be able to hide the power usage?? I know we could use a generator, but I was looking for something not quite so expensive or noisy. What about wind?? What about solar?? Any ideas would be grearly appreciated
