Depends on the size of your containers. Basically, you want to fully soak the soil by watering slowly until there is about 10-15% run-off. This is if you have appropriately sized containers for the root systems. I wouldn't recommend fully soaking a 3 or 5 gallon container with a newly planted clone or seedling though.
