Watering
My plants are about a week old and 8 cm tall, and I know that one of the major reasons home growers fail is due to over and under watering. I know when to water them, but how much should I water them at this point? And as they get older.

Watering
Depends on the size of your containers. Basically, you want to fully soak the soil by watering slowly until there is about 10-15% run-off. This is if you have appropriately sized containers for the root systems. I wouldn't recommend fully soaking a 3 or 5 gallon container with a newly planted clone or seedling though.
No real definitive answer to this, it's a case by case situation that you'll learn as you go. Happy growing
