i could imagine it would be a real pain to care for them.
It's a waste of time. Yes, it will grow but since pot is gravitropic you're going to have a HARD time keeping it happy with the roots constantly above the leaves, it doesn't like that.
A guy on another site I frequent tried it - 6 months for one measly ounce.
ah well thats good to know it will grow but the yeilds will be small well its not worth the trouble then
i was thinking about trying this and i have the topsy turvy already.. anyone else with thoughts on this? i kinda figure the things would just grow towards the light rather than down.. tomatoes can hang with the weight but the leaves dont look as "directional" as pot leafs do so maybe it wont be good if the branches hang unless the leafs just curl towards the light.. hold on... ok googled for a pic of this :)
