Has anyone heard of old school trinity strain and what it may have been crossed with or name changed to a current strain?
never, ever, heard of it, but I would suspect it's origin would be in reference to Trinity County, CA ... 1/3 of the Emerald Triangle ...
Thanks Image, there are two different trinity strains the one I am trying to track down did come out of the emerald triangle back in late 70s early 80s it was a very popular but you needed to know someone to find it back then. I hope some old hippie is sitting on it and it will make an appearance again as it was outstanding. Again thanks for your imput. peace
I got some beans from Trinity County, bomb stuff, best I have had pretty much.
i got about 20 or so nl x trinity beans that i have had fer bout ten years that i just happend upon in an old box i remember when i got them i was an outdoorsman and they didnt like it at all only got 1 to grow once under a floro. cant remeber much but it pissed me off and i went back out side
so 10 years later im indoors and wonderin about lineage and stuff and thinking about giving em a shot any advise on germination
the 'bubble-tub with rapidrooter plugs', is the way I germinate these days ... I highly recommend that, over the old paper-towel idea, especially with older seeds, they hold an almost perfect amount of moisture ... :smokin:
i dont paper towles cause it dont work for me i usually just plant into peat pots since my mothers are dirty anyway but plugs are about the same.
whats with scuffing older seeds and how
hey man I just germinated some 20+ year old seeds with paper towel, totally soaked with RO water, on a porcelin plate with a porcelin bowl over top, just putem on my satellite reciever, and all 9 germinated in under 24 hours, and theyare all now growing in peat pots with potting soil.
I grew the Trin about 8 years ago. It was great weed and very popular in my group of friends. Once the Kush craze hit a lot of these great old school seed strains disappeared. I don't know anyone that still has it.
My personal favorite! :rastasmoke:
So yeah, I do have a friend who's been working with that stuff for several decades. He's from the norcal and has since moved out this way. The bud is very earthy both in taste and smell. Completely coated in crystals and very dense. I have a lot of friends who refuse to smoke anything else if they can help it! :D
Now that this state has the medical marijuana laws in full effect, I know he's getting clones out through a local dispensary as well, so I expect to see it surfacing up a bit more around town!
