Hey everyone.
I'm a first time grower. I'm not taking it too seriously; I've just got a rectangular shaped flower bed thing. It's about 6-10 inches wide by 2 feet or so in length. In this pot I just put some simple schwag seeds I got from a sack. I guess I wasn't paying attention when I put the seeds in after sprouting. A couple of them are ridiculously close together. Oddly enough those are the ones growing the fastest.
I live in warm climate, so even these days it still gets to about 80 degrees during the day. At night and in the mornings it's pretty chilly, I would assume too cold for the little guys. I've been taking them into the garage and putting them under a lamp. I don't think it's really a special bulb of any sort, but it's decently bright and gives off some warmth for them.
They were growing pretty nicely and then I decided to give them some extra kick. I just used typical miracle grow lol I don't know if that works. I think I gave them too much though because the leaves burned a bit. Some of them look pretty beat up but not too bad. There is one with almost no damage at all. The leaves on some are deformed now.
Is it bad to be constantly bringing them in and taking them back outside?
Will the burn go away after a while or are they screwed?
Why have they slowed in their growing?
There is also one that looks in decent shape but it just seems like a runt. What causes things like this?
I'm just looking for basic information for when I do them in the future. I'm going to keep trying with these little guys and see how they do. I don't even know which are male or female, I was just planning on waiting till they show signs and then yank the males out.
If you're kind enough to reply please use simple language, I don't know anything about this stuff. Furthermore, don't tell me to go get crazy lamps or fertilizer 'cause I won't. I'm trying to be as natural as possible...not for any particular reason, I'm just not uber serious. I'm just trying to save myself some money and have some fun.
Thanks!!
