When did you buy it? Many earlier models had this problem, and Microsoft acknowledged it by extending the warranty, if you have the same problem as most users. I believe you can get all the information from their website, or by calling. They then send you a box and label to send your shit, they work on it, and send it back, all for free. It's quite suprising that Microsoft has offered this, because it's costing them a lot. Anyways, that's the deal on that.
I bought mine about a year ago. It has never given me any problems until recently. I think mine may qualify for the free repair, as it is only the 3 red lights that come on and flash. And Slip, high failure rates are the price to pay for the superior system. ;)
I was under the impression if you get the "3 red rings of death" you send it to Microsoft (or where ever) and they will send you a BRAND NEW one.
As long as I don't have to pay for the repair/replacement. I did nothing to cause my Xbox 360 any problems. I've treated it like royalty since the day I bought it.Quote:

Also, do I just send them the console, or do I send all the plugs and wires too? I couldn't find a real clear answer on their site.
Just the console needs to be sent !!
Mine is only 2 weeks old , i hope i dont get any problems./
no they don't, and trust me you don't want a brand new one.. when you send it in the rebuild alot of stuff inside, you get a brand new one you're likely to have the same problem again down the road.Quote:
