You cannot tax something that is deemed illegal. Apparently, the reason why weed is illegal is because the government can't tax it.

Obviously, they can and they want to. They will get the dealers on not paying taxes too, which will increase jail time.

california (a major grower) is one of the few states who has no marij. tax stamp law yet.

Also petitions do help... the more politicians r bugged by polls, the greater chance for influencial pursuation

This post is correct. You can't tax something that's illegal. These are the guys that want to pay one billion to California. It was the news article in the thread where you incorrectly said that prostitution was legal in Vegas. They are not trying to tax marijuana........................:wtf::wtf::wtf::w tf:. They're trying to solve California's budget problem with money made off of Marijuana sales.

In my opinion Gravity has been doing the best research, Yeah you can't tax illegal products but in some cases marijuana isn't illegal..

Ok, that's fair. But what he was saying is that there are these tax laws that have been on the books for marijuana, and that marijuana can be taxed. The ONLY marijuana that can be taxed is medical.
