You cannot tax something that is deemed illegal. Apparently, the reason why weed is illegal is because the government can't tax it.

This post is correct. You can't tax something that's illegal. These are the guys that want to pay one billion to California. It was the news article in the thread where you incorrectly said that prostitution was legal in Vegas. They are not trying to tax marijuana........................:wtf::wtf::wtf::w tf:. They're trying to solve California's budget problem with money made off of Marijuana sales.

Ok, that's fair. But what he was saying is that there are these tax laws that have been on the books for marijuana, and that marijuana can be taxed. The ONLY marijuana that can be taxed is medical.
