I was flipping through this months new Playboy like usual and I came across a cool fact:

"GRASS IS GREENER: Based on a government estimates of U.S. marijuana production and a producer price of about $1,600 a pound, the total value of all the pot grown annually has been calculated to be just less that $36 billion. Here is how marijuana compares with the country's top three legal cash crops:

Marijuana Corn Soybeans Hay
$35.8 Billion $23.3 Billion $17.6 Billion $12.2

And the reason Marijuana is still illegal is because the US Government cannot regulate and collect on the taxes of said Marijuana. Most of that weed is grown in someones hidden grow room that does not take kindly to paying taxes on something they grew in their home even if they are growing for sales for profit.

Now, if America was to take over growing Mariuana, would they bump up the price? Or lower it?
