first time poster long time browser. got sum seeds from some exotic stuff i picked uped. i was so happy never has seeds but anyway i am seven days in on a sprout started in a peet pellet and distilled water. once sprouted through i transplanted it in a 6" pot with MGorganic choice potting mix. .10-.05-.05 .97% nitro.now im 7 days in sprout looks good @bout 1 1/2". first leaves starting to appear came home today and 1 leave was a lil curled from light so i moved it away a lil but other then that seem to be doin well. im running 23w cfl +13/cfl. 36 total. space is 20"l x 25"h x 23"d. my question is enough light? and when do i started adding nutrients?

take some tap water.. lets it sit out open for a day or two this will let all the chlorine and other impurities out.. and make the water nice for ur babies...
P.S. stinky is a woman..

Unless you live somewhere where the tap water is no good... then use the distilled or reverse osmosis water with a cal-mag supplement like stinky mentioned.

I would add at least three more 23-26 watt cfl's. You have 36 watts of cfl running right now thats about 2300 lumens, thats around 650 lumens sq ft.
Three more 23-26 watt cfls would bring you up to around 2200 lumens sq ft.
Try and get cfl's around 6500k (kelvin) spectrum for vegging plants. Also make sure you have decent ventilation because cfl's do produce heat. Try and keep your cfl's 3-6 inches off the tops of your plants.

actually with cfls it is very possible and almost neccesary to keep them within an inch or two at most from the tops..

I like keeping mine about 3" inches or so , just because I have had the plants grow into the lights and burn my plants If I moev them too close. Also some fan leaves on my sativa plant likes to grow into the cfl's so I have to keep them about 6" away from her fan leaves to keep her from trying to touch it. Its amazing how quick my sativa plant can move looking for light If i take her out her grow box while I am doing things to the plant she will bend the top of herself toward the grow box in less than 30 minutes. My indicas dont do that for some reason.

I think 1" away from the light is too much for a tiny seedling probally got too hot expecially if there wasnt enuff air movement between her and the bulb. I think you should move the light at least 3 inches away until it gets bigger, if it survives. When there that small its either hit or miss.

I would get a PH pen or a Ph test kit for fish tanks.Ph the water to around 6.3 to 6.8 for your babys.Add nuts when there is 3 nodes, and very lite nuts.Dont water every day,let the soil dry alittle and just mosen the soil. Peace

Roots like to dry out on occassion also. Over watering is the first biggest newbi mistake...plant food the second.

If the seedling is looking as bad as you say , you should just germinate a new seeds I would say germ 6 seeds , keep the best 3 seedlings that way you should end up with at least one female. Also when there that little they only need to be watered every few days put your fonger about an inch or so deep in the soil if it feels dry then water. Lil seedlings dont need much just light and occasianal water basically just check every couple days 2-3 to make sure there soil isnt bone dry , and keep the lights as I said 3-6 inches above them and they should be find. You might want to use jiffy cubes to germ you seeds in since that miracle grow pre-fertilized soil is a lil "hot" for your plants to give there roots a chance to grow. I use pre-fertlized soil for mine but its a diffrent brand Im thinking your organic soil make be a little "hotter' to young seedlings.
